Earlier this year, the acclaimed horror movie Late Night with the Devil became a hit at the box office. After its subsequent release on Shudder, the film is now finding even more success upon being made available to stream on Hulu.
Per Screen Rant, Late Night with the Devil is currently ranked at No. 4 on Hulu's Top 15 Movies list. It's currently falling behind The Beast Within, Don't Turn Out the Lights, and Road Diary. However, it's sitting above the horror flick Smile, which now has a sequel that's playing in theaters. Finding a new audience on Hulu will become just the latest achievement for Late Night with the Devil.

After a memorably viral run both in theaters and its original streaming platform, Late Night with the Devil is continuing to find success. Led by David Dastmalchian, the 2024 horror movie revolved around talk show host Jack Delry who, attempting to make a comeback after the death of his wife, hosts a special Halloween episode that goes horribly awry as he inadvertently unleashes genuine supernatural forces. After playing the festival circuit beginning with 2023's SXSW, Late Night with the Devil became a critical hit, garnering near universal acclaim and a solid box office haul of over $15 million.
Now, some eight months after first hitting theaters, Late Night with the Devil is finding success on Hulu. The movie, having first been acquired by IFC Films and Shudder and streaming on the latter beginning in April, is holding the No. 4 spot on the streamer's Top 15 Movies. While the title of the movie has nothing to do with the narrative itself and certainly isn’t related to director David Sandberg’s directorial debut either, Don’t Turn Out the Lights comes off as an outdoor group survival horror, the likes of which you have seen numerous times but can’t help checking out just for curiosity’s sake. Predictable and filled with annoying stereotypes, there isn’t much that the movie can offer to seasoned horror aficionados, but a somewhat decent chemistry among the characters and decently crafted ambience contributing to the atmospheric horror help viewers stick through the runtime.
