We Are

The following piece of written conversation is entirely my creative imagination hence read it for amusement alone. It is not intended to be disrespectful towards any person or organization.

{Chief Executive Officer: "So do we have a safe house for presenting our artists this year?" Assistant Manager: "No more safe house please. We had enough troubles every time" Human Resource Planner: "EM and JS are under Aoff. FK seems to be favored by Jojo. GF can sustain by themselves. Let us worry about the rest. We can't let their stylists, security and managers, starve" Production Team: "Have them all in the same project. In order to film a series individually, neither do we have content nor sponsors" Chief Executive Officer: "Then let's film a Bl with lot of mechanical kisses, walking on the beach intertwining fingers, eating at cafeteria over meaning less conversation, drinking at resto-bar and sleeping at friend's house, strip off the shirts and rolling on bed, publicly displaying affection even when unasked for, just repeating the same dialogues over n over....." Producer: "shop na.... I can make trillions selling junk at gold prices. Who cares for content anyway?" Assistant Manager: "It might be tough to mobilize everyone simultaneously hence lets finish PP, WS, AB, Phagun n Pawin...." Chief Executive Officer: "(cough) Poon shai mai" Assistant Manager: "shai kha, and then later this year we can film FB, JG, JM and Perth n Chi..." Chief Executive Officer: "(cough) Santa na krap" Human Resource Planner: "ohei.. my head hurts. Khai kab khai kh dai, pai he. Where's the director?" Director: "Wadee krap, I am NEW to GMM na krap. I can make an organic series with LOVE in the plot. Every episode will have a task to accomplish so that the boys don't get bored, mimicking a variety show. Air reeking Love, eyes filled with Love, everybody in Love, we'll celebrate this pride month with a barrel of cheese. Hwan cheum"}

Keeping aside the romantic aspects, this series shows the beautiful shade of friendship. While watching the episodes, I was wishing to have such friends in my life as well. The actors portrayed their respective roles very well as usual and it's not surprising coming from a fine set of gifted actors The story line is predictable but still has the freshness that makes me eager to watch the next episode. Emotions such as love, laughter, anger, sadness.. everything is well blended and I can guarantee that "We are" is going to be me comfort zone for a long time.

I m not sure if we can categorise this drama as a romantic one. But it's definitely a FEEL GOOD series.

If you are looking for a series that will make you feel peaceful, happy and entertained, this is the series. You follow the story of a group of friends who have no attraction about them, their relationships with each other and their lovers. But that's why you shouldn't watch the series anyway. The show has some of the healthiest relationships I've ever seen in the entire history of bl. They are both excellent with respect for boundaries, support for each other, problem-solving actions, and everything. They're also funny, and this hilarity doesn't come from nonsensical conversations, but from the types that really exist in friendships. LOVE IT!!!

This BL series revolves around a campus, because it's about a group of college students who later develop feelings for one another. There are 4 couples in this series : PheemPhum, ThaenFang, QToey & ShanePun. PheemPhum started as enemies and slowly turned into lovers. ThaenFang started as enemies, then into friends, then into lovers. QToey is the classic senior-junior relationship. And the last one (literally the last one to bloom), ShanePun is the bestie turned lovers couple. The plot is very predictable with so little (to none) conflicts. No real life problems can be found in this series, which is very unrealistic if you ask me. I think that this series can be made way shorter, like 12 to 13 episodes. Some episode were unnecessarily added just to stretch the plot. Aside of that fact, I think that this series is okay. If you like the nauseatingly sweet PDAs, that is. Cause as soon as they became lovers, those couples turned so cheesy, clingy, and obsessed with PDAs.

This is one of the best portrayals of friendship in BL history. The support each character gives to one another is truly heartwarming, and the way they care for and help each other is beautiful.

The red flags are minimal perhaps the smallest I've ever seen. Typically, BL series feature at least one major red flag, but in this series, I can't find any.

The story of a few couples might not be the best developed, but I can't say that it made anything worse. But all couples faced unique challenges in their relationships and overcame themin a good way.

Some series overdo the comedy, but this one was pretty balanced between serious, heartwarming, funny, and blatantly silly moments.

Overall, I consider this one of the better series of the year. It's lighthearted, fun, and heartwarming, without being over the top in any aspect.
