An engaging suspense crime thriller with strong performances and twists.

The story moved around the life of an experienced Lawyer Clerk who tests Time, Judiciary and Police for a mysterious personal motive and the investigation & events that follow forms the story.

Brilliant and tight bound scripting by Riyaz Ismat and well executed by Amal Joby. The duo managed to come out with an engaging story and the performances of was also justifying with the story.

I would like to add the phrase "Good times comes to those who wait" here to specially mention Jaise Jose who has started his career with small roles has come up and brilliantly given life to the leading character in this movie. The mannerisms and movements he has used to deliver the character was startling. Impressive performance by Shaju Shreedhar in a career defining role. Good performances by Azees Nedumangad,Bibin George,Rony David Raj,Sminu Sijo & Anand Roshan.

Background Score by Stephen Devassy is worth mentioning.

The start to end of this movie is really gripping. Movie is made with decent budget and looks very classy and more than what it could do with the little money invested.

The thrills are too good to experience. Multiple watches can be enjoyed with similar excitement.

All actors have done great acting and they suited their respective roles perfectly. The casting team has done a good job and hats off to them.

The running time is good enough and the editing is superb. Movie doesn't have unnecessary sequences.

Music and locations are too good and well suited the frames.

Director was level headed to make this brilliant piece if art.

This Malayalam thriller, offers an intriguing premise but falters in execution. The film's initial build-up and police investigation are well-crafted, maintaining suspense until the interval. However, the narrative slows down in the second half, becoming predictable and cliché-ridden. Despite this, Shaju Sreedhar delivers a commendable performance, while the lead actor portraying Pallipadan shows potential but lacks the depth a seasoned actor might have brought to the role. The film's reliance on formulaic elements and exaggerated heroism detracts from its potential, making it a missed opportunity for a truly gripping thriller experience.

There are some titles you stumble upon randomly, not knowing what to expect, only to be pleasantly surprised. Gumasthan is surely one such movie.

A thriller drama, it revolves around a cunning clerk who exploits legal loopholes to commit a crime. The police go to great lengths to uncover his guilt, starting with the question of who the victim is.

This is one of the most intriguing concepts I've seen in a long time within this genre. Typically, crime dramas present a victim and a few suspects, with the police working to uncover the motive and the culprit. However, this movie breaks the cliché, delivering a riveting drama where the central question is not just "Who did it?" but also, "Was a crime even committed?" and "Who is the victim?" Right from the opening scene, the movie establishes its protagonist and draws you into a world brimming with suspense.

Jais Jose, in the lead role, has a captivating screen presence and delivers a stellar performance. From a supporting actor to now a leading man, he proves himself to be an outstanding performer deserving of more opportunities. Shaju Sreedhar, as the determined police officer, provides solid support, while Dileesh Pothan, in a brief role, is decent. Sminu Sijo once again demonstrates her talent, and Bibin George, thankfully limited to a special appearance, struggles even with such a simple role.

The screenplay is the real star here, holding your attention from start to finish. Amal K. Joby, as the director, has done a fabulous job of crafting a movie that is both intriguing and unique. His skillful direction is evident in the compelling performances and some stunning visual sequences. The background score further elevates the film, adding depth and intensity to the narrative.

This investigative thriller drama is not to be missed. Give it a try-you won't be disappointed.
