The scenes by the sea were filmed in North Jutland, but one day heavy rain put an end to it all. "We waited for hours because it was raining so hard. When we were told that we weren't going to film that day, all of us women went to Svinkløv Badehotel - as it existed then - and when we came back, we jumped into the waves without any clothes on," says Anne Louise Hassing.
Amalie Dollerup, Sonja Oppenhagen and Birthe Neumann worked together on the series Krummernes Jul (1996) Sonja and Amalie played mother and daughter, while Birthe plays the wife of Santa Claus called Julle and she was called Jullemor.
Although the series spans 19 years (1928-1947) the characters do not age. They change according to life's circumstances, but they almost don't age at all.
