This show makes me feel like I'm going crazy. And I like that feeling.
The jokes themselves aren't really funny but are delivered in such a graphic and disturbing way and occur so rapidly that it really kind of takes you on a weird journey and then when it's over you think "what the hell did I just watch?"
I would definitely want Mr. Pickles as my own pet though. Him and Tommy are probably the most fleshed out characters. Everybody else is an insane grotesque caricature of some awful person you probably already know and in that regard I really appreciate it's scathingly sarcastic tone in regards to stupid people in general.

Mr. Pickles is a great show that many people including friends, youtubers and critics like to shit all over. Now im gore's worst fan, i faint if i see more than 2 drops of blood but i dont know what it is about Mr. Pickles but the literal murdering that happens in the show doesnt make me want to temporarily die. Out of the 3 seasons and 1 special episode ive watched the special and the first two seasons because after watching something like "Telemarketers Are The Devil" and "S.H.O.E.S" i dont want anything to do with that season. Yes it is humour that 100% is shock value but i like it.
I recently saw the first season of Mr. Pickles, despite seeing hatred towards it on YouTube. And, I enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Satan, not a very religious person but I think you should go into the show, expecting lots of animated gore and gross images. Sure, the show doesn't look perfect, but it isn't bad. Yes, the characters aren't that memorable, except from Mr. Pickles, though I enjoy Grandpa also. The humor is most of the time sick or black but I kinda like it. There isn't a story going on also. The best episode so far is Season 1's end. Overall Mr. Pickles isn't show for everybody, though I have fun with it. If you want some blood, black or gross humor, this show may be for you.
"This show is not for everyone" should be this show's goddamn tag-line or something. It's violent, and constantly shoves it's satanic references and disgusting body-humor down your throat AT ALL TIMES.
You need a stomach for this kind of show, and if you have it, it's really, really fun. You can't knock it for not being creative. A lot of the voice actors for characters in the show aren't amazing, but at least most of them are convincing, it's stories in each episode are, as well, average but good enough. Where it really shines is how well it handles it's violent situations and characters. One scene can go from seemingly harmless to absolute insanity in the blink of an eye, and it never feels too rushed or out of place. This is mostly due to the fact that the only scenes containing elements of torture, violence, hacking, sawing, and pretty much any other disgustingly gory act you can possibly think of are so brief and inventive in it's own sorta way, that after a while, it becomes normal within the show's confined universe.

This is the kind of late night cartoon I have a soft spot for. Yes it's over the top, yes it's dark and twisted, yes it can be revolting; but all these things are good when they're framed in funny jokes. I like the writing, I like it's fast pace, and I enjoy the premise. Bring on more death metal dog doing frocked up things with a panting smile.
I'm sure this cartoon pisses off a lot of people and I'm sure some people find it tasteless, but honestly I think if you're willing to look past some of the more "shock" stuff, or for some people (like me) actually enjoy them, you'll see there is still clever writing and solid absurd humour. I can't say I expect this to get super popular or even for it to go on for very long, but if you like death metal, slasher movies that have subtle and twisted comedy, dirty and manic cartoons, then I think you might be the kind of person that likes this. Not that those things are all related, except that they are all offbeat from the mainstream, snobs stick their noses up at it, but yet there's something about them that entertains some of us.
