Pierre Vallieres was a spokesman for the Quebec separatist movement who advocated armed struggle. He terrified the rest of Canada by promising revolution and blood in the streets. So since he trafficked in words, all we see is his mouth in this brief interview. A mouth (with a beard & smoking, naturally) spewing Marxism, muttering about oppression & promising violence. A perfect period time capsule.
