2024 CMT Music Awards

It was announced in Feb. 2025 that the 2025 CMT Awards show had been had been canceled amidst the merger of parent company Paramount Global with David Ellison's Skydance Media. They've halted most of their planned events to "reimagine and optimize [their] events slate going forward." This cancellation followed Paramount Global halting other events slated for the first part of 2025, including MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), the Mexican edition of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and the MTV MIAWs (previously called the MTV Millennial Awards), a ceremony honoring Latin American music. However, the company's Video Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards remain unaffected.
