Lahore1947

Edit
Preity Zinta's comeback film.
In 2008, Rajkumar Santoshi wanted to direct a movie adaptation of Asghar Wajahat's play "Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin", starring Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Balan as his wife with Salman Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh also getting signed. Production designer Nitish Roy was building a set for the movie in Hyderabad. Every lane, by-line, transportation device, and even electric wires were getting recreated. Extensive research on Lahore during the partition era was getting done so that every detail could get replicated. Later in 2012, the cast was changed and Pankaj Kapur, Manisha Koirala and Shahid Kapoor came into the project with Dutt, Khan, Balan and Mukesh all exiting. The film did not go anywhere. Then in 2014, Anil Kapoor and Armaan Jain got signed for the film. Again, the project just would not get off the ground. Then in 2015, Anil Kapoor exited the film and Hooda got signed for the role with Armaan Jain remaining in the film. The film eventually got called off due to unknown reasons.
