Spin Master revealed details about the latest Paw Patrol entry in an announcement that is more prehistoric than historic. Titled Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, the franchise’s third theatrical installment arrives in theaters on July 31, 2026, co-distributed by Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Spin Master like its predecessors.

Spin Master Corp. unveiled today the official title, synopsis, and logo of the upcoming third feature film in the blockbuster Paw Patrol franchise. Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie will build on the franchise’s previous box office success and continued reign as the world’s most popular preschool show.

Produced by Spin Master Entertainment in association with Nickelodeon Movies and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film is set for an exclusive theatrical release on July 31, 2026.

Following the box office success of two hit movies, Paw Patrol 3 is officially a go, and its plot includes two things we love most: the adorable pups from the Canadian animated TV series, and dinosaurs. Beginning in 2013, Paw Patrol is now in its 11th season, and shows no signs of stopping any time soon. The first feature film in 2021, Paw Patrol: The Movie, grossed more than $151 million in theaters, and the sequel, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, managed to be an even bigger moneymaker, generating $205 million in receipts.

Variety reports the next installment will now debut in theaters on July 31, 2026, just one week later.

This now puts more space between another of Tom Holland‘s upcoming movies, The Odyssey, which is currently slated for a July 17, 2026 release.

While Zendaya is reuniting on screen with Tom in The Odyssey, it’s currently unconfirmed if she will be back as Mj in Spider-Man 4.

Other movies set for a July 2026 release include Minions 3 (July 1), the live-action Moana (July 10) and Paw Patrol 3 (July 31).

If you missed it, Tom is also set to star in a new “The Imitation Game” movie adaptation, as well as a racing movie with Austin Butler!

The next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland is shifting its release date. Instead of July 24, 2026, it will now hit theaters on July 31, 2026. The movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige producing once again.

There’s a smart reason behind this change. Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine landed on the last Friday of July and pulled in an insane $211.4 million opening weekend in the U.S. alone, crossing $444.7 million worldwide. Sony is likely hoping for a similar box office smash by placing Spider-Man in the same slot.

Another factor? Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, drops on July 17, 2026. If Spider-Man had stayed on its original date, it would have opened just one week after Nolan’s epic, making it tough to secure premium screens like IMAX.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is going to take slightly longer to swing into theaters.

Sony Pictures announced Friday that the Marvel superhero’s next feature is now set for theatrical release on July 31, 2026, a week later than previously scheduled. Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is helming the movie that is currently untitled.

This change gives the project extra distance from the release of director Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and hits theaters July 17, 2026. Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron round out the star-studded cast for Universal’s feature adaptation of Homer’s epic poem.

Also currently set for release on July 31, 2026, is Paramount’s animated feature Paw Patrol 3.

Holland was last seen onscreen as the heroic web-slinger in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which surpassed $1.9 billion at the global box office.

What’s so special about July 31 over July 24? It’s the last Friday in July, which essentially where Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine played to an opening of $211.4M domestic, $444.7M worldwide.

There’s something else though: Spidey on its old date was going in the immediate week wake of Christopher Nolan’s new Matt Damon movie The Odyssey on July 17 from Universal. On its new date, Spidey is two weeks from Nolan’s feature take of the Homer epic, and now going up against Spin Master/Paramount’s Paw Patrol 3.

It can also be inferred that Nolan will at least get his fair share of Imax screens — for about two weeks. Likely another reason why Spider-Man moved.

The new untitled Spider-Man movie has been added to the release calendar for July 24, 2026, with Tom Holland returning as the webslinger and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton directing.

No other movies are dated on that weekend. The fourth installment opens in the wake of a Universal event film on July 17, 2026 and prior to Paramount/Spinmaster’s Paw Patrol 3 on July 31.

There had been chatter out there that Holland was circling a new Spider-Man movie. At the time when Justin Kroll first reported on Cretton as director for the fourthquel back in September, Holland and Zendaya’s deals weren’t closed yet, but both A-listers were in touch with execs and producers about the development of the film with new contracts underway. Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige are back as producers.

The third installment in the top-earning “Paw Patrol” film series has added Jennifer Hudson and comedian Fortune Feimster to the force.

Oscar winner Hudson and Feimster will lend their voices in addition to Mckenna Grace, who returns in the lead role of Skye. Paramount Pictures announced release dates Wednesday for a number of upcoming films. This includes director Akiva Schaffer’s new untitled installment in the Naked Gun comedy franchise hitting theaters July 18, 2025. The movie, first announced back in 2022, stars Liam Neeson and includes Seth MacFarlane as a producer.

The studio also announced that Paw Patrol 3 will launch July 31, 2026, as a follow-up to the studio’s September sequel Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie that topped $200 million globally. The new film hails from Spin Master Entertainment in association with Nickelodeon Movies.
