They Cloned Tyrone is a 2023 sci-fi mystery film directed by Juel Taylor, in his feature film directorial debut. The film’s story centers on a motley trio living in the fictional though recognizable Glen, a neighborhood replete with its own thriving criminal ecosystem. There’s the drug dealer Fontaine (John Boyega), the prostitute Yo-Yo (Teyonah Parris), and Slick Charles (Jamie Foxx), a cartoonish pimp, all of whom find themselves in a web of intrigue after Fontaine is shot dead yet wakes up in his bed the next day. Eager to discover how Fontaine lives on, despite being fatally gunned down in front of Slick Charles and Yo-Yo, the trio set off on an impromptu investigation into the hidden activities of the Glen. The critically acclaimed film boasts a particular strain of home-grown conspiracy and spins a simultaneously bleak and entertaining sci-fi tale about circumstance, autonomy, governmental corruption and the importance of identity.

The Amazon dark comedy pilot “The Nightbeast” has added three new series regulars to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.

Cory Michael Smith, Michael Dorman, and Miles Marthaller will all star in the pilot alongside previously announced lead Tatiana Maslany.

Maslany will star as Amy, described as “a young mother unsatisfied with her seemingly perfect suburban life who begins an affair with the boogeyman in her son’s closet – a surprisingly sexy man called the Nightbeast. But this harmless affair she thought to be a figment of her imagination begins to have unexpected consequences, as her two worlds increasingly begin to collide in this seductive, darkly comedic tale.”

Smith will star as the titular Nightbeast. Dorman will play Eric, Amy’s husband, while Marthaller will play Miles, Amy and Eric’s son.

Indie streaming platform Dropout, formerly known as CollegeHumor, is vying for a spotlight at this year’s Primetime Emmys with an ambitious campaign to secure its first major nominations. With a passionate and niche audience, Variety has learned exclusively about Dropout’s top contenders submitted for Emmy love, including the innovative game show “Game Changer” and the unique interview series “Very Important People.”

“Game Changer,” a standout series hosted by Dropout CEO Sam Reich, turns the traditional game show format on its head. David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era will be chronicled in the new box set Rock ‘n’ Roll Star!, out June 14 via Parlophone Records.

The 5-cd, Blu-Ray audio set tracks the late rock star’s creation of the Ziggy Stardust character, the release of 1972’s The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, and the many U.K. radio sessions and TV appearances Bowie’s famous alter ego participated in.

An expansive new box set will chronicle David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era. Dubbed Rock ‘n’ Roll Star!, the 5xCD/Blu-ray package is due out on June 14th through Parlophone Records (pre-order here).

Notably, Rock ‘n’ Roll Star! contains 29 unreleased tracks, including early songwriting demos, outtakes, alternate versions, rehearsal recordings, and more. Rick Hoffman's character, Louis Litt, in Suits was an integral part of the show, appearing in all nine seasons and serving as a series regular. Since the end of Suits, Hoffman has appeared in two productions, including the Showtime series Billions and holiday horror movie Thanksgiving. While Suits is Hoffman's defining role, he had notable acting credits prior to the show, including roles in The $treet, Philly, and Samantha Who?, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

Rick Hoffman is one of the standout cast members of the hit legal drama Suits, but since the show ended, he has remained busy with other acting roles. The USA series follows Mike Ross, a man who gets hired at a top-notch law firm despite not having a degree. Among the many memorable characters Mike worked with was Louis Litt, played by Rick Hoffman, a corporate attorney working at Pearson Hardman as a senior associate.
