I always review a film based on budget etc and to be fair for £500 this was very well made in terms of camerawork and professionalism; the fact that it is filmed in Ireland is very impressive when i watched it as it does come across as USA or Canada and the main actor does a good job of the yank accent but it should have been a 30 min short as nothing much happens, its not scary and it becomes quite funny towards the end when the main character starts freaking out and someone starts to shine two red torches in the bushes - I think i began to lose it when he tries to light a fire with a twig and laments not bringing a box of matches.

So to be fair it could have been better as a short but as a feature length film its far too long and just about a guy wandering in the woods and a bit of a terrible outdoorsman to boot - me and the boys have done better survival training up the local woods.

I started watching it and knew what I was in for. Got about 20 minutes in and then I had to keep watching because I've never wanted a character to be killed as much as I wanted this guy to. " I don't want my clothes to get saturated" Was a line about hiking in the rain! This movie reeked.

The main character might be the worst actor I've ever seen, just marginally worse than whoever is playing his girlfriend on the phone. The way he delivers lines is so unnatural that one would think he would've had to TRY to be so awkward. Regarding his spoken lines, he sounds like he needs speech therapy, constantly stumbling over words and pronunciations, gargling the words more than speaking them. He clearly went out with cameras intent on his idea that he was going to act rather than just be natural. Even if you can deal with this awful speech and delivery for more than 15 minutes, there really isn't anything else to stick around for. The writing is absurd, the execution is abysmal and the acting is beyond poor. This one isn't worth struggling through.

I've watched a few survival FF movies with a horror element and I've enjoyed them. But, this one is just plain awful. The main guy can't act. The plot is plodding and goes nowhere. I stuck with it. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Very bad acting and to slow. Turned it of after 30 minutes. Total waist of time.

This is one of the best FF films I've seen, and I've seen a lot.

The main character is filming a survival guide documentary in the Montana forests, and it starts off bright and cheerful. The lead is great as Bailey Rhodes. He seems like a well-rounded character; a bit cocky, nerdy, and almost childishly innocent. This is especially true when he first encounters hostility.

I think it's intentionally funny having him slowly contradicting his own advice, and his refusal to acknowledge that he's lost. Instead he's merely momentarily 'disoriented'.

As the film progresses the story becomes increasingly more unnerving, especially as the protagonist is likeable. There's a brilliant practical effect near the end that left an impression on me. Due to some stunning shots and the overall atmosphere of the setting, this is a film I'd watch again.

I get it. It's not 'good' acting. Nobody talks like that on the phone. The sound design is... sub-par.

But, I like this movie a lot. I guarantee you waste a lot of your time anyway. Give it 15 minutes and if you don't crack a smile, turn it off.

But in this world, there are so many people that don't do anything with their life anyway, I give credit to anyone who starts and finishes a project.

This movie is better made than any of the Les Stroud/Stacy Brown, Jr. Movies (f.e. The Pit).

15 mins, turn it off, but it deserves at least 4 stars, if only just because it is a finished project.

Bad acting, unrealistic dialogue and a budget of about 50 bucks from what I could see. This movie had a lot of terrible components and yet for an hour and a half, I sat and watched, mesmerized.

Somehow, the whole of this movie overcomes the dismal sum of its parts. If you can get yourself into the right frame of mind, it's downright fun.

No ominous music. No sweeping landscape views from $10,000 drones. Just a guy in the woods getting increasingly unnerved and desperate, stalked by some persistent menace that's heard but never seen.

I don't know what to tell you. I should be here with the rest of you, crapping all over this low budget affair, yet now that it's over, I'm stunned to find out that I really enjoyed that flick.

If you go into it with low expectations, and if you can somehow get past some of the worst phone conversations you'll ever hear, you might actually have fun with this one. Once you get into the swing of it, you actually feel rather lost in the massive wilderness. And as annoying as the main (and only) character can be, I found myself pulling for him.

Damn the fool for not bringing a lousy Bic, though. Of course, buying one would have blown half the budget, so...

I tend to enjoy the lower budget bad horror movies. This one had potential but there was something with the audio in a lot of parts and it was just disappointing in the end.
