Sony’s TriStar Pictures is making a sequel to the 1989 comedy “Troop Beverly Hills” that starred Shelley Long, and the studio has set Oran Zegman to make her feature directorial debut on the project.
Aeysha Carr, who is the showrunner on “Woke” and is currently writing Paramount’s “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” remake starring Will Smith and Kevin Hart, wrote the script, and it’s now undergoing a remake by Tamara Chestna (“Moxie”), who will also have a producing role. It’s unclear if any of the original cast will return.
“Troop Beverly Hills” is the story of a pampered Beverly Hills housewife who tried to prove to her daughter that she could rough it as a Wilderness Girls leader and care for a group of girls. The film provided early roles for Carla Gugino and musician Jenny Lewis, among others, and has become a cult classic thanks to its feminist themes and warm heart.

"I'm doing the best I can with this stupid list!" Gravitas Ventures has debuted an official trailer for indie romantic comedy Alex & The List, made by director Harris Goldberg. This looks like a painfully awkward, somewhat amusing, kitschy indie romantic comedy film that looks like a fun performance piece for the cast. Jennifer Morrison co-stars with Patrick Fugit as a couple seemingly doing well. But one day, Katherine presents a list of "improvements" to make him better; at first he rejects but then concedes as he embarks on a journey through love. The full cast includes Karen Gillan, Julie Gonzalo, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and JoBeth Williams. This seems like it could be fun, but still very cheesy, as expected for these kind of films. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Harris Goldberg's Alex & The List, direct from YouTube: Alex, a lovable, unassuming dog trainer is in love...

Olivia Pope may have a ray of hope.
On Scandal Season 7 Episode 14, the disgraced former Chief of Staff took on a case of a young woman who seemed intent on carving a career path just like hers, all while trying to take down the villainous Cyrus.
Scandal is well-known for all of the double-crosses, but "The List" was a surprisingly satisfying affair that reiterated with a big bang that this show is coming to an end very soon.
If you watch Scandal online, you will know that Olivia has been struggling to get on good terms with her former allies, and well, who can blame them for not wanting to hang around with her?
The moment she gets a whiff of power, she thinks she's the most critical person in the world, and that she has the power to put hits out on anyone who looks at her the wrong way.

Warwick Davis has been a part of the Star Wars universe ever since he played the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi in 1983. Since then he has appeared in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, 2015's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens, 2017's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and he is set to appear in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.
During a recent interview with The List, Davis, who is obviously a fan of the Star Wars franchise, responded to the backlash against The Last Jedi. I know a lot of fans didn't care for the film, but Davis makes a great point about how, we as fans, should be watching these films. Davis went through a more personal Star Wars backlash with Return of the Jedi. As you know, not all of the fans really cared for the Ewoks.

Earlier this month, Dwayne Johnson confirmed that his new next project will in fact be a Jumanji sequel that continues the story of the original 1995 classic. The actor leads an ensemble cast that includes his Central Intelligence co-star Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Nick Jonas. Today, the actor revealed that Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy) has also joined the cast. While there is very little we know about her character, Dwayne Johnson made it clear she has one of the most important roles in the film.
Dwayne Johnson broke the news himself earlier today on Instgram and his other social media accounts. The actor/producer wouldn't reveal her character's name, or how she fits into the story, but he did state that he and his co-stars went through a grueling search to find the right actress. Here's what he had to say on Instagram.
