Deadly Midwife

I went into this film anticipating a mere chuckle, BUT BOY WAS I SURPRISED! This movie had me at the edge of my seat, and the acting was incredible. MATTHEW MACCAULL stole the show for me. His chiseled jawline could cut me through the screen, and his smirk made me weak at the knees.

I have been following Matthew Maccaull very closely ever since I saw his astounding performance in Turner & Hooch. His performance as HOOCH blew me out of the water, but I don't think it comes close to his performance in Deadly Midwife. I pity those who have not had the utmost pleasure of viewing this masterpiece.

This film deserves way more recognition. PLEASE GIVE IT A WATCH!!!!! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ACTRESS LAUREN K. ROBEK, WHO COULDN'T QUITE COMPARE TO MATTHEW MACCAULL, OF COURSE, FOR HER NOMINATION FOR BEST PERFORMANCE, MADE FOR TV MOVIE AT THE 2024 UCBP AWARDS. YOU DESERVED IT GIRLY, BUT MATTHEW MACCAULL MIGHT HAVE DESERVED IT MORE!!!!

This is definitely one of my favorite mystery/thrillers that I have watched this year! I usually find numerous little things wrong about a movie to debate with other movie fans on but they did an amazing job with filming a low budget movie with this type of acting, writing, and pacing. The actress who played the mother made me feel like everything that was happening to her and the baby was actually real, and her emotions were sweet, protective, and spot on in my opinion. The husband and second mid wife had decent parts in the movie and I wouldn't say they are on par with the mom but definitely not bad at all.
