Worth Watching

I have to say my favourtie quote from this movie was " A lazy Buffalo drinks dirty water". In all the westerns I have watched through out my life, I never heard this quote before. I thought the movie was done very well and there was definite chemistry between the two cast members that played the Marshall and the wanted man. You can tell there was definite on screen chemistry. I was trying to narrow down to what specific drcade this was in , and I thought perhaps 1860's and then saw the wanted poster of Jesse James and believe he was a wanted man during 1869. So the portrayal was pretty accurate and it was entertaining. I also liked the card game that was played between father and son, and the father trying to teach the son life is not fair. I think this young director Viduran Roopan shows us how versatile he truely is with this script he wrote and his directoral debut. I gave this an 8/10, simply because I am expecting bigger things in the future from this very talented director.

A wonderful film - must watch

Just watched "The Company of Thieves"!

I loved the film. The story, the music, and the cinematography were all spot on. The film was as suspenseful as it was emotionally engaging, and we were captivated from start to finish. I found the story both compelling and thought-provoking. The film's pacing is impeccable, offering just the right amount of tension before each twist. The film shines not just through its gripping plot, but through its rich, multifaceted characters. I loved the beautiful dialogue and philosophical conversations shared between the 2 main characters (played by Tony Noto and Naomi Helen Weissberg).

All in all, I loved the film and would definitely recommend watching it asap!

A good western twist

I like the movie, it is well directed and all the cast are excellent. The movie had some slow scenes but overall it is exciting. There were few twist and turns and kept me pretty much involved right through the movie. At times it kept me guessing the next scenes to bond and good job by the director. The photography was excellent with some beautiful sceneries. The scripts are very good and I throughly enjoyed it. Tony Nato has acted pretty good and Naomi Helen's role was very good and I think she was outstanding. A lot of good lessons to learn from the movies, and I would recommend this movie. I wish the director all best and good luck with all future endeavors.

A must watch with a unique western touch!

It was an absolute delight to watch this movie! While it embraces the classic Western style, it still feels refreshingly different and unique. The soothing background music adds to the immersive experience, perfectly complementing the film's tone. The subtle taste and touch of the Western genre bring a deep sense of satisfaction, making it a truly enjoyable watch. Moreover, the entire cast delivered outstanding performances, each justifying their role exceptionally well. Overall, a beautifully crafted film that is both engaging and memorable! Highly recommended! Wishing the entire crew the best in future productions.

A Company of Thieves

Company of Thieves delivers a compelling study in character development that elevates the film well beyond a conventional cat-and-mouse thriller.

At the heart of the film is the thief, whose journey is not merely about evasion but also about grappling with a conflicted sense of self. His actions-both ruthless and vulnerable-invite the audience to consider the personal sacrifices and moral dilemmas inherent in a life of crime. Rather than presenting him as a flat antagonist, the film paints a picture of a man burdened by his past, striving to outmaneuver both his pursuers and his own internal demons.

There is subtle nuanced critique of large corporations, a wonderful musical accompaniment, and solid acting. A very well-made independent film.

Worth the watch. - J. Begalke.
