I was forced to watch this with my girlfriend since she wanted to have movie night and like I told her, I'm picking the movies moving forward.

I cannot believe I sat through this. Honestly, it was so boring, I was on my phone and I think I fell asleep for a minute. I was looking forward to a thriller. Something that was going to have me on the edge of my seat, rooting for the antagonist to get what was coming for them and the typical "you got´em good" for the protagonist.

Instead I got a dramatic movie about some girls who had different reasons to get a job at a strip club. A mother daughter tense relationship. A few of the worse on screen deaths I've seen in a while and some other bs drama. Absolutely nothing close to the movies description happened. We saw her prove her innocence but not in the thriller mystery way this movie presented.

The chick who played Julia was horrible. The mother daughter duo looked like sisters which may have been the point. However, some scenes the daughter looked older than the mom. I hate to say this because I love to support black cinema, but I DO NOT recommend this.

The very first review scored a 10 titled best Tubi original is definitely either paid or someone involved with the movie because NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. I appreciate Tubi originals and I will continue to watch them but let's not get beside ourselves here. I've seen better.

This is categorized as a thriller. It's more so a drama with a minimal mystery. Literally over 50 min of "build up" before something actually happens. The entire time I'm watching wondering when we're going to get to the point. A movie should be based on its description. If it says woman framed for murder and trying to basically prove herself innocent, that's what I want to see.

This was about stripping which as a woman, I'm all for. Get your money girls, but that's in real life, this is a movie. I was truly bored and annoyed by the characters. You feel no connection with them, no kind of remorse for any of their problems. I think one of them might be a trans woman, which is different for Tubi if so.

The acting isn't terrible but of course not stellar. The cinematography is a 4 at best. Some scenes way too dark. What was with the shaky camera action at some moments? The story is super super slow paced and to be honest 1:25 is too long for this bore fest. The three is for the work that went into the movie and I think I'm being very generous.

Best Tubi original I've seen! Nice to see they're stepping up their game, especially when it represents women and people of color. The actors shine in this dance thriller-drama. Refreshing to see the strong female relationships in this! This film reminds me of Flashdance and Uncut Gems!

I hope there is a part 2 that reunites the two strong female leads. I'd love to watch them again! And the role of the Mom was undeniably great too.

Nothing like a dance movie to get me going on Labor Day weekend! Also, The final credits song was a mix of classical ballet and hip hop which really leaves you with the good vibes.
