The acting and writing are excellent
I was skeptical when I decided to watch this movie that it would be like any other low-budget indie film with bad writing/acting on YouTube. I was very pleasantly surprised to be wrong! I was also surprised to see this is the first film for the lead actress, Keri Barker, who played Samantha (also surprised to learn she was one of the filmmakers). She was phenomenal to watch and hard to take your eyes off of. I was not surprised to see the man who played Mr. Vield, Simone Leorin, had many credentials to his name. In fact, he looked very familiar to me and I am certain I recall seeing him in episodes of 'Grimm.' He was chilling to watch and even though his accent was hard to get used to, by the end of the film, it seemed to make perfect sense for the character and I couldn't imagine him without it. I also was surprised to look up the woman who played Ellen, Geni Hawkins, and find out she has not done much before this either. I was certain I had seen her somewhere else too. I decided it simply must have been because she has the class and poise on film like an older Hollywood actress. A bit like Goldie Hawn meets Susan Sarandon.
I recommend watching this film, because you will be pleasantly surprised. Go in with a very open mind that it will not be what you might expect. The writing is also far more exceptional than you'd think and the acting/characters are extremely memorable. I hope to see these people go on to do more things.
