Exclusive: Half a dozen staff including Co-CEO Allison Corn have been laid off at Cash Cab producer Lion TV US, which has moved to become a creative and development studio within All3Media America.

Corn had been with the The Playboy Murders maker for more than two decades but recently exited along with five staff, we are told. Corn’s former Co-CEO Stan Hsue remains and is leading a much smaller team including Director of Development Bridget Latino working on creative and development. Corn and Hsue took over from Tony Tackaberry nearly four years back when Tackaberry launched a new label backed by Blue Ant.

We are told Lion US is still in production on Home Reimagined for Magnolia, while Season 2 of Body in the Basement premieres tonight on Discovery ID. Lion will continue to be a standalone label but will work more closely with All3Media America, which will produce Lion US development projects.

Tennessee’s Attorney General has shared, ahem, grave concerns about a haunted attraction that was the subject of the recent Hulu documentary Monster Inside: America’s Most Extreme Haunted House.

In a Halloween post on X, the Ag’s office revealed that it has sent a letter to Russ McKamey’s McKamey Manor in Summertown, Tn to look into the “business practices in operating its ‘extreme haunted attraction.’ This office continues to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all Tennesseans.”

The office also sent a letter to McKamey, obtained by The Tennessean, that says the tour does not offer visitors a way out, and that they don’t have access to the lengthy waiver which warns of multiple risks. The letter includes this quote from McKamey in the doc: “we’re known for no quitting and no safe wording.”

Cash Cab producer Lion Television US is behind Monster Inside: America’s Most Extreme Haunted House, which will launch next week as part of Hulu’s Halloween Season and follows the story of Russ McKamey, the Navy Veteran turned master of horror who invites adrenaline junkies to the house and puts them through their paces to the extreme.

McKamey opened the manor to satiate his love of Halloween but it grew in popularity and obtained a social media profile, as the owner gained notoriety. It has, however, attracted controversy, with one participant saying she repeated her safeword for several minutes before employees stopped torturing her, while the police have been called to the manor on several occasions by locals.

The full title is actually Monster Inside: America's Most Extreme Haunted House, which also says what it's about. "This Halloween, take a deep dive into one of America’s most extreme destinations of horror." Another Huluween offering for 2023 to enjoy. The film introduces the world to Russ McKamey, the Navy Veteran turned master of horror, who lures horror enthusiasts into his web. They find themselves pulled into the no-holds-barred world of McKamey Manor (official website), a scary thrill that doesn’t end until he says so. "Merging documentary storytelling with the visual and cinematic language of a horror film, Monster Inside follows three participants as they dive deep into Russ's world and then find the will to fight back.

Earlier this morning, our friends at Bloody Disgusting unveiled the trailer for the upcoming documentary Monster Inside: America’s Most Extreme Haunted House, which is set to start streaming on the Hulu service on October 12th. Now you can watch the trailer in the embed above!

The “haunted house” in question is McKamey Manor, which is set up in Tennessee and operates year-round, offering guests an experience that can last up to eight hours. As Wikipedia explains, “Guests must sign a liability waiver to participate. Items on the waiver include the inability to leave the experience without the staff’s permission and being subjected to various forms of physical and psychological torture, including having bones broken, teeth removed without anesthesia, and being drugged.” So this is neither my idea of a “haunted house”, nor a place I would ever step foot in.
