Meh,Í've seen better shows. It's average at best.

I like this show a little but I think it's kind of a rip-off of regular show.Honestly I have seen far better cartoons in the past as well as in the present.I gave this show a chance and at first,I thought it was boring but then it kinda grew on me.I still don't think that it's anything spectacular. But it's not horrible either. It can be hit and miss. Also I think the characters look kinda ugly.I don't really care for any the characters either.I will watch it occasionally. So bottom line:sanjay and craig is one of the better shows on nickelodeon and I have nothing against it.But if I want to watch a really good show that has gross out humour,I'd watch ren and stimpy instead.

Tied for second with Fanboy & Chumchum as worst show ever.

You heard me. This show IMO is the 2ND worst show on nickelodeon, but tied for #1 as worst cartoon of all time. Sanjay and Craig proved me wrong, cause anything is possible. After fan-boy and chum-chum, I honestly thought you couldn't go anymore downhill. But the previews for this...this... abomination just proves you can take a shovel and dig down deeper. I want to say worse stuff, but i worry about being banned, so it'll be hard not to use profanity in this review. This show... just... It's not for kids. OK? This is like being tied up and forced to listen to a ten track Justin Bieber CD! To the parents reading this review, do yourself and your kids a favor. block this show. It is awful, gaudy, it's gotta go. In conclusion, this show needs to be destroyed. Like, Now.

Nickelodeon is going down the tubes

I had nothing else on TV to watch, and had some time to kill. I love cartoons and animations, so I decided to check out this show. I have heard yay or nay about it, but from watching this show, I can say that I am disgusted with what Nickelodeon has become and who they're hiring to create shows for them. The creators of this show look and act like they're on crack, and it reflects in their work. This show is about a kid and his talking pet snake and their weird adventures with the weird individuals they encounter. And the humor is all bathroom or bodily secretion-related, one simply cannot watch this show if they have a weak stomach. I checked the TV guide, and I do not see any episodes airing any time soon, so I desperately hope that Nickelodeon gets a clue and pulls this horrible piece of GARBAGE off the air.

This is for the mentally insane.

I cannot see how network execs can put a show like this on a kids channel. This is probably not even comprehensible nor entertaining for folks in a mental institution. Maybe the writers should be sent there themselves. Pathetic. And we wonder why kids these days only sit in front of computer and with their cell phone like freaking robots. Yes NIK, you are a contributor to the dumbing down of America. Well done.

And IMDb wants to keep simple, straightforward reviews off their website with their silly minimum of 10 lines of text rule. Sometimes there is not enough to say about something to warrant 10 lines of text. Even Amazon.com does not require you to write nearly that much with their customer product reviews.

I'm disappointed they axed this show

I simply can't believe that there's not even a 5 star rating for this show. I absolutely loved it, and I would class myself as a cartoon freak! I even got a custom made phone cover of it! What's not to love about this show? It's creative, fun, funny.. it reminds me of Spongebob/ Rocko's Modern Life slash something else that's awesome. Whoever made this show, can you please do something similar and add something else to appeal to a wider audience, just so it sticks.. but I was one happy viewer, just know that!

Please give it another chance.

Perhaps the biggest compliant this show gets is the gross-out humor. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but if you look at the 90s, there were lots of Nick shows in the 90s that used gross-out humor. I don't think it's that horrible just become of the toilet jokes that appear every now and again. Nickelodeon has always had shows with this kind of humor.

Okay so I'll talk about my gripes with the show. The first few episodes felt a little bit repetitive and some of the gross out was just feels cringey, but I don't think that's the whole story. If anything this show is actually better than the stuff Nick has put out in previous years like Planet Sheen, Fanboy and ChumChum or TUFF Puppy. In part because the main characters aren't mindless idiot heroes that run around causing trouble and then annoying everyone who gets in their way. Sure the main two make fart jokes a lot but Sanjay has a childish because he is a child but not everything here is toilet humor. Sanjay and Craig are best friends who like to laugh and enjoy life together. They don't let things get in between their friendship and that's why the show can be sometimes heartwarming.

If anything the show is at it's best delightfully silly and weird and a little heartwarming. I like the dialogue, I like the wacky facial expressions and I like the dedication put in the show to be really weird. If you don't like the first season, I'd suggest watching the second because the first mainly feels like a work in progress. The humor isn't limited to toilet humor there's a lot of humor just in the awkward facial expressions and dialogue in this show.

Also there's lot of creative ideas here like the one where they imagine themselves into a Star Trek parody or the one where they can't stop listening to a sad song. There's a lot of gross out humor and it's mainly hit and miss. Sometimes it's funny because of how over the top it is, sometimes it's repetitive. Even in the toilet humor there's a bit of creativity.

While the toilet humor is a bit cringey the show is something that demands that it be given a chance. It's not funny all of the time but it can still tell a good story and have some creative ideas.

Don't you see it's just a poor copy?

The show is gross, the humor is so horrible and the animation is VERY, VERY similar to Regular Show, The World of Gunball and Gravity Falls. Simply, their talk lines are LAME and boring. I don't know how this show attracts too much attention. Fans saying that those shows reminds to past cartoons are fake: neither this or these shows are familiar with olddies.

Those shows are pure garbage. Please, DO NOT WATCH THIS. Better watch something else, like I don't know, first season of Jimmy Two-Shoes (not the 2nd, that was nuts), Regular Show or Gravity Falls? They're much better that this sh*t. Nowadays, TV is just the place you don't want to turn it on.

Toilet Humor at its Best

It's bizarre, weird, edgy, crude, and incredibly inappropriate. It's a children's cartoon that takes a big steaming dump all over media censorship while still staying just within the line of what can and cannot be aired on television.

It is a revolutionary work that has helped push the envelope beyond the realm of imagining.

Its content truly is disgusting, gross-out humor and the level of shock value and those moments when I think to myself, "What? What! WHAT!" in reaction to what I've just witnessed is what gives me cause to laugh out loud. Sanjay and Craig has often left me in tears because of how hard I've laughed at the show.

Admittedly, it isn't for everyone and I hold nothing against those who do not enjoy this sort of thing. But to those of you who feel compelled to insult its fans directly simply to express your opinion...Well, I just don't like you. Not one bit.

Pretty decent show, but needs work.

This review has been updated, after a few months I decided to lower my rating due to the overuse of gross out humor, this show is not terrible, but it wont be the next Spongebob.

Whenever Nick releases a new show, I at least try to watch it and see if it is any good, most shows nowadays are not as you already know. But surprisingly, I was fairly impressed when I saw the first episode of Sanjay and Craig.

The humor in the show seems to copy the Regular Show style but I don't really mind because unlike so many Nick shows on, it doesn't try too hard to be funny. Most jokes actually get you a few laughs and don't seem cheesy or timed. Yes their is gross out humor, the one downside to this show is that it relies too much on gross out humor. Trying to be a wanna be R&S, but back to the positives. Thurnop Van Orman is one of the shows producers, and I have always liked what he has worked on because he puts a surreal twist into everything.

The art style has a 90's Nick vibe to it with a touch of 1980's references throughout, not to mention they actually have something new in 2D for once, other than Korra, unlike the lazy, overdone, CGI atrocities they have on now. You may or may not know this but the character designs are from one of the character designers for Bobs Burgers. So it seems similar.

Voice acting is laid back and simple and actually has a diverse voice cast. The characters might seem a little on the cliché side though. A boy and his pet and they go on adventures, seen it like 100 times before. But overall I am liking the show so far, but after seeing what it would be like, I would'nt expect it to have a cult following like Adventure Time and Regular Show.

But as one reviewer said, don't let your nostalgia goggles get in the way of something new, you never know, you just might like it.

Stupid

Ever since this show came on late spring, I figure that the show is stupid and the worst I've ever seen, the story incorporates about an average boy befriending a python, and does disgusting and stupid thing and the story is a load of garbage, the main characters are pathetic, they worst like the Haunted Hathaways, Rabbids Invasion, Marvin Marvin, and The Thundermans, it was the main reason will I refuse to Watch anything new because 9 out of 10 it'll wind up like this and the others, I rather watch Spongebob or Sam & Cat (at least),and TMNT (2012 version) than the rest of this that should be canceled until nick will have to come up better taste like a few than these.

Dumbed Down

OK this is my first review of Sanjay and Craig.. First off I saw the 'boy' if, indeed it actually is a boy pressing his chest. He had an air pocket or something in his chest, and every time he pressed it, it farted..Oh, my, God. And I thought adventure time was stupid. Anyways, I saw my two nieces which already don't listen, watching this crap, so I watched a few minutes of it and changed the channel. It was dumbing them down, and I wasn't going to be passive and let that happen. Low and behold, they ran in the other room and tried to put it on. Wow...I walked back in the living room and put it back on out of curiosity, and the 'big air bubble' was in the 'boy's' stomach and he was in his bed looking at it and talking to himself, lmfao, how stupid.

I really couldn't watch anymore because I felt my brain getting dumbed down. So sad that the media has stooped down to this low point. I saw the preview of the new episode coming up where the 'snake' his big bro comes into town..Yup, a giant snake in a suit with gold teeth and a limo..He supposedly makes the boy jealous because Big bro snake has a lot of money and you see his little bro swimming around in a double pool, it looks so retarded! Funny but not the funny funny, funny because it looks so stupid! Anyways, I know my nieces will get around to watching it again, but don't blame me why stupidity and carelessness in children is at an all time high, blame the stupid shows that's presented to them. Oh how the mighty NickJr has fallen.

I already know this review won't be submitted because obviously, I'm not a professional reviewer, and oh well if It's not up to standards. I saw the other 1/10 review and had to post this.

A decent follow up to quirky shows like Chowder and Flapjack.

The premise isn't terribly original, boy, his talking pet, and their wild misadventures, but for people who enjoy surreal cartoons like Cow and Chicken, Ren and Stimpy, Chowder, and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack(the creator of which, Thurop Van Orman, is a producer on the show) it's a welcome addition. The show doesn't quite reach the same greatness of those shows, and scales back some of the absurdity, but manages to still be fairly entertaining.

The cast is fairly decent here, particular note being comedian Chris Hardwick, who plays the snake Craig, and the occasional visit from Arrested Development's Tony Hale as the strange neighbor Mister Noodman, who both breathe a lot of life into otherwise stale archetypes.

The episodes can be, at times, a little overly juvenile and simple, like witnessing a butt transplant, or when a blueberry farmer acts like a gibberish spewing idiot, but shines really well with the absurdist moments and some pretty great jokes.

Though it tries not to be as extreme as the shows that preceded it, like Flapjack and Ren and Stimpy, Sanjay and Craig does suffer from the gross close-ups that these cartoons tend to rely heavily on. It's a bit stale, and at times is just annoying, but doesn't diminish an otherwise fantastic cartoon show.

It's not perfect, it's not even terribly original, but there is some great talent on the show that deserves attention, as well as perhaps the unique situation of having an American cartoon show where the main character is a mixed-race Indian child.

Another stupid show on Nick.

This is one of the worst animated show I've ever seen in Nick. The humor, the look, and the characters are not memorable. This show should not be aired on Nick, this show belongs to Cartoon Network considering the look of the show and the awful sense of humor. The jokes in this show aren't funny. The look of the show is like Regular Show and other Cartoon Network shows. The Characters are like Fanboy and Chum Chum, they're unlikable and really annoying.

Conclusion: This show is not a good show. It has lots of flaws, bad animation, jokes, and characters. If I were you, I would just stay away from this show.

Mad underrated show

Sanjay and Craig solos bruh. I don't know what's wrong people saying this show is bad and grossed and but what do you expect it to be it's kinda like a children show but more better for the people that aren't immature little kids. Like Nickelodeon is not just like SpongeBob plus rug eats and other little children stuff lol. Y'all are trippin they should give this show another chance.

Different than other shows?

I've been in the mood to watch a new cartoon show for a while. Neutron only had 3 or 4 seasons and Fairly Odd Parents portrayed characters and scenes that were funny, but overall too stupid. I watched Adventure time for a while, but lost interest as there wasn't as much humor as the childish child-shows.

I can't exactly say that this show is the funniest out there either, but that is probably because it is a cartoon that does try to be somewhat more realistic. Instead of having a piano smash on someone's head or having a person's body split in half, the most that happens to them is a punch or a kick, which does make sense if they appear completely fine in the next few frames.

One thing that I do have trouble understanding: DO PEOPLE KNOW THE SNAKE TALKS??? Its obvious the little Middle Eastern-Whitey can understand the snake, but then the blonde girl can understand him too. But the father acts like he doesn't even know that the snake can speak English. In future episodes, it is shown wearing a cap and a shirt, BUT YET ONLY ONE PERSON ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE HAS NO ARMS? Is it everyday in this town that people see a green kid with a tail, no arms or legs, and a really long neck? Aside from that though the show is good for an older age group that is not into Bleach, Barney, or Adult Videos

Grossed-Out show

This show has to be like Breadwinners. where there is too much toilet humor and toilet jokes. Also, why is this show nearly at 5.0 rating? That doesn't make any sense at ALL! Everything in that show, has to be like Breadwinners. Except, the theme song, meh, I kind of like it, but everything else in this show is one word: "TRASH!" Also, this show has to be a rip off of Regular Show, because Regular Show is better than Sanjay and Craig!
