A new take on one of the most famous stories of all time. Well-acted, beautifully shot with realistic and convincing writing.
An eye-opening look into something usually swept under the rug of society regardless of how much it happens or how much the world frowns upon the reality of it. Damaged families, harrowing consequences and a small-hearted person at the center of it all take the stage in this wonderfully vibrant, yet controversial look at a modern, successful family with problems that nobody would ever want to face or talk about.
Highly recommended for the writing and cinematography, great film.

Quiet, unsettling, and emotionally powerful. Endless Summer Syndrome explores family secrets and trust in a slow-burning story set over one tense weekend. Sophie Colon delivers a gripping performance as a mother torn between suspicion and love, and Mathéo Capelli convinces as the silent, enigmatic father. The pacing is deliberate, with lingering shots that build dread but may test patience. The final revelation is shocking and lingers long after, raising uneasy questions about loyalty and identity. Beautifully shot and well-acted, but not for everyone. Recommended for fans of psychological drama.

I can appreciate that this film and its subject matter may not appeal to all, but when you put it against the relative garbage films we normally get in US, this film stands FAR above the rest.
The plot is a very old one and yet is brought to new life by the changes in the storyline that are quite unexpected. As IMDb lists it, the film is a drama, and a thriller, and while I'm not sure it's much of a comedy as listed, it is also a mystery. It takes quite a while to get the mystery solved, but when it happens, it IS shocking, and yet, not that surprising. People are people, and sometimes they don't act like others may want them to act, and that's on full display here.
If you feel you can handle an actual ADULT film with a fantastic cast and story, check this one out. HIGHLY recommended.
