This movie reminds me of some of the French noir films from the 1950s and 1960s: dark themes, complicated characters, and a complex plot. For me, it required a 2nd viewing to connect the dots and see all of the bread crumbs that writer, Howard Goldberg, left along the way. Alexander Calvert was excellent as the lead, I look forward to seeing him in other roles. I had seen Kahyun Kim in Cocaine Bear and it was interesting to see her in such a dramatic role like this. Caylee Cowan was part ice queen, part drama queen and the camera certainly loves her. All in all this is a cool indie film to watch.
Be ready to be confused, and lean into that feeling, because you're going to be for most of this film. It's not until the end that you get some clarity, but by some, I mean you are still going to have a lot of questions!
This was a fantastic indie film! I think I need to watch it again to pick up on the subtle hints that would give me more insight into the seemingly parallel realities Peter was living. I felt myself questioning which parts of the movie were in reality and which weren't.
I'm usually a studio produced, wrap everything up in a bow movie watcher, but I decided to do something different, and give this film a go. I wasn't disappointed!
