Image
Update On Thalapathy Vijay’s Last Film ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

After the success of Leo, Thalapathy Vijay returns to the big screen after almost a year with his upcoming film, The Greatest Of All Time. It’s slightly different from Vijay’s commercial potboilers as it has a science-fiction element. It’s one of the last two films in the superstar’s career, and after The Goat, he’ll be seen in one more film. Now, there’s an exciting update about that remaining final film.

It was in February this year that the Kollywood superstar announced his decision to enter full-time politics by quitting films. He informed fans that before joining politics, he’d be completing his already committed projects. Later, it was learned that Vijay has two films in the kitty, with The Greatest Of All Time being his second last project. The final film is with director H Vinoth.

Supernatural's Highest-Rated Episode Confirms When The Show Should Have Ended
Image
"Swan Song" is Supernatural's best episode, with a 9.7 rating on IMDb. It was originally meant to be the series finale. Ending with "Swan Song" would have let Supernatural go out on a high note, avoiding a complicated legacy. The actual series finale, "Carry On," has a lower rating on IMDb due to an underwhelming ending and viewer fatigue after 15 seasons.

Supernatural aired on the CW for an impressive 15 seasons, but the series' highest-rated episode is where it probably should have ended. There's no denying that there are great episodes in every season of Supernatural, but the show also hits some low points during its later outings. Ranking every season of Supernatural, the later ones tend to be the weakest. Whether it's because viewers were fatigued 15 seasons later or the show ran out of stories to tell, the excitement surrounding Supernatural peaked long before its series finale.

The Supernatural series finale also had numerous problems,...

Scream 7 star Neve Campbell Reveals December Filming Date
Image
Scream 7 looks to be gearing up to get cameras rolling on the troubled sequel to last year's hit sixth installment. Returning star Neve Campbell has now shared an update on when filming will finally begin on the movie after numerous delays. The last time we saw Campbell's Sidney Prescott was in 2022's rebootquel, suitably titled Scream. But, given an unfortunate contract dispute, both the performer and the iconic character sat out 2023's Scream VI. But, she's all set to return for Scream VII as was confirmed back in March 2024.

The seventh installment is set to begin filming before the end of 2024, and one gets the sense it will serve as a culmination of sorts. While discussing her new documentary Swan Song, IndieWire asked Campbell about the upcoming Ghostface movie. And, specifically, if she's well-versed in who or what is currently trending in the world of horror cinema.

I'm afraid I'm not.

Neve Campbell Reveals Filming Update for Scream 7
Image
Scream 7 has been at the center of a lot of controversy since late last year. After losing key stars, a director and multiple rewrites, the film is finally gearing towards production. The film's star and franchise mainstay, Neve Campbell, recently revealed that Scream 7 will begin production later this year.

Campbell, who was absent from Scream VI due to a very public pay dispute, was brought back for the seventh film amid the many production setbacks. Late last year, Melissa Barrera was fired by Spyglass Media for her social media posts related to the Israel-Hamas war, which angered many of the franchise's fans. The firing led to many fans advocating for a boycott of the seventh film in response to her firing. Following her unexpected exit, Jenna Ortega followed suit and left the project due to scheduling conflicts. Matters only worsened when it was announced that Christopher Landon, who...

‘Swan Song’ Review: An Absorbing Canadian Doc About a Celebrated Ballerina Who Revitalizes ‘Swan Lake’
Image
A few years ago, before retiring from her role as artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada, Karen Kain decided to direct a show. “We needed a new Swan Lake,” she says at the top of the new documentary Swan Song, “and I thought: I want to try to find the courage to do this.” Kain, a former ballerina, trained at NBC and made her debut as Swan Queen in the company’s 1971 production. She was later mentored by the Soviet dancer and choreographer Rudolf Nureyev, who helped nurture her career. Kain gained domestic and then international recognition. Andy Warhol made a portrait of her and Canadians affectionately nicknamed her the nation’s Princess Diana.

Directed by Chelsea McMullan, Swan Song follows Kain’s journey to direct Swan Lake in her final year at the National Ballet of Canada. She intended to retire in 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic forced...

‘Swan Song’ Review: Ballet Doc Raises Karen Kain, Her Dancers and the Bar on Performance Arts Films
Image
A luminous technique defines the documentary “Swan Song” as it unfurls its saga of famed ballerina Karen Kain’s final act as artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada: the helming of a new production of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake.” Kain had never directed a ballet. So, although it might not seem like a high-art kind of word, let’s just say she picked a doozy. While archival images of her own performances underscore that, as one of Canada’s most celebrated ballerinas, Kain’s timing was impeccable, the timing of her maiden directing venture was less so. Kain had planned to retire after the world premiere of the ballet set for 2020. A global pandemic pushed the premiere two years.

Director Chelsea McMullan, along with co-writer and producer Sean O’Neill, have crafted a work that echoes the artform’s grace and rigor, physical demands and details. As one of...
