Jo could be any one of us. The series tackles taboo and difficult topics without being too heavy or frivolous. They approach them with sensitivity and insightfulness. Episodes are approximately 30 mins and easy to watch. Personally, I binged the whole series in less than a day. The acting is good and at some moments even great. The actors have chemistry, thus making their interactions feel real and natural. The script has substance and the plot is easy to follow. The cinematography and the aesthetic of the colours in clothes, scenery and background are vivid and beautiful. Despite being focused on women I belive that men could also enjoy and learn from it. For me this is a must watch!

"I Am Jo" follows a 37-year-old Greek woman who keeps ending up with toxic men, yet refuses to see her own part in this pattern. Instead, she blames a so-called patriarchal system, acting as if modern Greece remains stuck in old-fashioned ways. While some Greek women might point fingers at men for their troubles, the film pushes this idea too far, ignoring how much society has changed.

Throughout the story, Jo makes the same mistakes over and over. Rather than showing her grow or learn from her choices, the plot focuses on her complaints about men. This choice robs viewers of a deeper message about self-awareness and personal growth. It also turns an interesting topic-why people repeat harmful patterns-into a flat storyline about blaming others.

Most of the supporting cast offers stiff performances, making it hard to connect with anyone besides Jo. Unfortunately, even Jo becomes tiring because of her constant refusal to own her mistakes. "I Am Jo" could have been a thoughtful look at relationships and personal responsibility, but instead it clings to an exaggerated idea of patriarchy that does not truly reflect modern life in Greece.

The story was mediocre, lazy and repeatetive. It is a plot explored a thousand times before. The main protagonist is a greek woman who constantly makes scenes out of things caused mostly by herself. She goes from one relationship to the next, picking companions with similar traits and then blames everyone but herslef, and especially men in general. The societal set is ridiculously outdated. They treat the world like we are still back at 1960s. The perspective deals with issues that are, for the most part at least, eradicated from today's society.

The acting at its' peak moments is at best mediocre, and there aren't many.

I am afraid I can't recommend it. I gained nothing from watching this but cringe.
