Buddy cop movie with a dad and his daughter. Charming. Amusing.

If such a genre even exists, but I would like to classify this as a "family cop movie", or as a "daddy daughter buddy" cop movie. Why?

Because we get to see a dad (ex cop), who has lost his wife in a shootout, who is now fiercely determined for revenge. Will the dad cop (together with his daughter) find the criminals who killed his wife?

Part family portrait, part (light) action movie. Suited for family viewing. It is a gentle, charming and amusing portrait of lots of little quarrels between a cop father and his rebellious teenage daughter. And the other part is about dad and daughter together fighting the criminals, with some quite witty action scenes.

Charming, amusing and (light) action packed. Not laugh out loud funny, but the charming kind of funny. Not terrific, but it'll do as a nice pastime...

Surprisingly fun for a French movie.

Yesterday i was searching for something to watch and came across this one. I never saw the first one but after watching both trailers, i was just more drawn to the second one for that specific night (ill get back to the first, one day). Looked more action packed, comedic and the whole father and daughter duo seemed interesting.

French is my first language (altough i am from Quebec, not France) so language itself was not an issue but i usually am not a fan of France movies outside a few exeptions, as their type of humor is not much my thing and kinda like us in Quebec, they don't usually have a lot of budget for action stuff.

Surprisingly i found this one pretty enjoyable. There is decent action and its well done, some comedy elements that landed well, and it looked like it had a decent budget.

Now it wasn't a mind blowing experience or anything, but for a movie made in France wich i just randomly stumble on, it was pretty cool.
