BuzzFeed is still buzzing.
The company, which was founded in 2006 and rose to prominence because of quizzes, personality tests and listicles, has gone through a number of phases (remember when it was investing in hard-charging news?) and now, with BuzzFeed Studios, has been producing a staggering amount of long- and short-form content – everything from YouTube videos to feature-length motion pictures.
It’s latest really-for-real movie is “F Marry Kill,” which is in select theaters and on demand this week, thanks to a partnership with Lionsgate. It’s a romantic horror comedy starring Lucy Hale, who recently partnered with BuzzFeed on another feature project, the dog-centered rom-com “Puppy Love.”

Grant Gustin’s run as The Scarlet Speedster ended in 2023 with the conclusion of the Arrowverse. Since then, the actor seems to have taken a hiatus from the big sets of the film industry and has been happily spending his time on the stage on Broadway. While he is as busy as ever, he did do one film after the end of The Flash, which is Puppy Love.

Known for his charismatic persona and natural charm, the actor’s latest film was a romantic comedy full of unexpected twists and turns of life and relationships. Episode 12 of Love Next Door feels like it’d be an episode 14 for any other show. Just yesterday we thought something bad was going to happen again, yet today it feels like everything is alright and things are progressing rapidly. It’s a bit too quick if you ask me, which makes me worry about what’s left to play out in another 4 episodes when the couple’s happy and together. I mean, in general, in a K-drama like this one, we’d be watching the “puppy love” of the couple culminating in the last two episodes. This is honestly the question that plagues us every weekend, and while I’m enjoying the confusion, I also worry the writers might be trying too hard. But, I suppose the show subtly pokes at...

Lucy Hale appeared in Cannes during the film festival last week, living the good life but also helping launch Good Life, a new feature film project from Angel Oak Films.
The $10 million production will be steered by filmmaker Bonnie Rodini, who directed the 2021 South African film of the same name. The adaptation is described as a coming-of-age tale set against the idyllic Italian countryside. It casts Hale as Olive, a young woman grappling with her family’s complex history. Production is set to begin in Italy in September, uniting Pascal Borno and Alain Gillissen of Angel Oak Films with Silvio Muraglia of Paradox Studios.
Hale is coming off a busy 2023 that saw the releases of Which Brings Me to You, Puppy Love and Inside Man. She is best known for roles in the TV series Pretty Little Liars and the Blumhouse and Universal horror entry Truth or Dare.

Puppy Love is a romantic comedy starring Lucy Hale, Grant Gustin and Jane Seymour. It is directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Alan Reid.
It’s one of those movies where, despite the ice cream tub beside the bed, the girl wakes up even skinnier than before, almost made up, and spectacularly beautiful. He’s a guy whose biggest problem might just be that he’s too nice and nerdy. She’s a mess, and he suffers from something called post-covid social anxiety. Can you imagine the existential drama of these two attractive but lonely characters in life and love?
Yes, they’re already charming, good-looking, and friendly, but wait – there’s more! She comes across an adorable puppy and he has to take care of an equally adorable female dog to alleviate his anxiety. Can you imagine anything more adorable than this?
You’re not going to believe it,...

“They all call it puppy love.” Dolly Parton opens this pet-centric two-hour variety special, Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala, singing a new take on her very first single — which she originally recorded in 1959 at age 13 — “Puppy Love.” In addition to the country legend’s performances (you’ll also hear “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You”), expect musical guests like Lainey Wilson and Chris Janson, comedy bits and star-studded special guest appearances by Drew Barrymore, Kristen Bell, Neil Patrick Harris, and Parton’s cohost Jane Lynch, among others. Best of all, “there’s going to be dogs all around, everywhere,” says animal lover Parton. And naturally, that includes her French bulldog, Billy. The main event is a canine fashion show, of course, with the pooches in looks from the Doggy Parton product line. “One of the things I’m most excited about is we’re going to re-create...

Adam Fogelson is replacing Joe Drake as chair of Lionsgate’s motion picture group.
Drake reportedly initiated the transition and will be working with Fogelson over the coming months on succession plans. Drake, who was named co-chair of Lionsgate in 2017, will be leaving the company. He’s departing after leading the studio to its first billion-dollar year since 2019, thanks to commercial winners like “John Wick: Chapter 4” and “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”
“Despite unprecedented disruption over the last few years, we built a team that thrived throughout and achieved everything I could have imagined at Lionsgate,’ Drake said in a statement. “Having worked side by side with Adam for the past 18 months, he is the perfect choice to lead the motion picture group forward to even greater heights.”

The Flash star Grant Gustin, who portrayed the titular Scarlet Speedster in all nine seasons of the Arrowverse show, has confirmed that he was never approached about appearing in the Ezra Miller-led The Flash movie.
During a panel at GalaxyCon Columbus 2023 (via Instagram), Gustin addressed his absence from the DC Extended Universe project. "Never, at least, no one officially ever called me in as far as I know. My reps never told me if they did. So yeah, no one ever reached out to me about the movie," the actor revealed to those in attendance. Although Gustin never appeared in The Flash (much to the displeasure of the DC fandom), his and Miller's respective Scarlet Speedsters still managed to cross paths with one another in the Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event in 2020.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Robbie Amell (Upload)-original rom-com EXmas will premiere exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the U.S., UK, Germany, and Austria on November 17.
The holiday film follows former fiances, Graham (Amell) and Ali (Meester), who are unexpectedly reunited during Christmas. Ali shows up at Graham’s family house to spend the holidays together thinking Graham would not be making the trip. The pair battle it out to see who the family will pick to stay through Christmas Day, and who must go.
The film also stars Michael Hitchcock (Puppy Love) and Kathryn Greenwood (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) as Graham’s parents, Dennis and Jeannie; Veronika Slowikowska (What We Do in the Shadows) as Graham’s sister, Mindy; and Steven Huy (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies) as Graham’s brother, Elliott.
