A solid effort from a humble place

The premier was a success and rightfully so! This story marries the quaint and mysterious in a unique and unexpected way. There is warmth in it's historic presentation and it kept me wondering what would happen next throughout! Our main character's journey is a mix of confusion, fear and disbelief and we ride the rollercoaster along side him. The local's are played in a way which reminds me of classic 80's TV drama and it is a good watch for a cosy night in! Even more impressive is the fact that this was a low budget creation! Definitely worth a watch for those who want to support big things coming from small places.

Stylish Ghostly 'BritFlik'

A quality 'village' folklore thriller, with plenty of twists. The film captures the true essence of the 'old style' ghostly thrillers that used to pop up on UK TV in the seventies and early eighties. A new film with an old style quaintness, yet modern in its approach. Cinematically gorgeous, the musical score is worth a mention, along with decent and believable performances from leading cast members. Newcomer Tom Malt, the delectable Sarah Maur-Ward, (I remember her in of version of 'Ten Little Indians') the pretty ghostly youngster Holly Roberts and particularly interesting to see the adorable Caroline Munro portraying an instigator who might not be the saint as we are all lead to believe. The story concerns corrupt individuals who protect the legend of a lost fabled Saxon crown, only to realise the deadly consequences that befall them all. Nothing is as it seems in the sleepy village of 'Snowgood'. Some gorgeous scenery of the east Sussex coastline, plenty of eeriness from local wooded pathways, a creepy hotel where you just wouldn't want to stay, along with a hint humour, all add to a worthwhile watch. I enjoyed it immensley, so treat yourself to some mystery and mayhem. It'll keep you guessing to the end! Track this one down.

A tangled web of folk horror in this new independent production

Set in the 1980s this 'Touch of Frost' meets 'Tales of the Unexpected' is a folk horror sequel to A Curious Tale. The Presence of Snowgood comes from the same directing and production team as A Curious Tale and features a mix of established and new talent. The narrative makes good use of locations in the Kent and Sussex countryside with cinematic use of drone photography, classic 1980s cars and the former Bond actress Caroline Monroe - who is well known to lovers of the horror genre. The result is an enjoyable tale where reality and spirits collide with some jump scares and twists and turns to keep you curious until the end.

Another masterpiece from Leigh Tarrant

The efforts and hard work which went into the making of 'The Presence of Snowgood' really need to be recognised in every way. Every time Leigh releases one of his films, I always look forward to watching it, because I know it will be something different from the usual film production industry. The ghostly story line leaves one captivated and intrigued, wondering what will happen next. Profits are always donated to a good cause. Very professional cast, starring Caroline Munro. Hoping that the success of this movie will lead to the creation of another one and that it receives all the awards it deserves.
