Anthony Anderson is teaming up with his mother, Doris Bowman aka Mama Doris, in Fox’s latest competition series We Are Family, and he’s excited (and possibly nervous) to hear what she’s got to say.

Anderson and Bowman replaced Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne in the series, which launches January 3 and comes from Fox Alternative Entertainment and Apploff Entertainment.

The series showcases non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member. It features a studio audience composed of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $150,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed.

iHeartRadio announced the return of ALTer Ego for 2024 with Paramore, the 1975, and Thirty Seconds to Mars among the biggest performers. The concert will take place on Jan. 13 at Anaheim’s Honda Center.

Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball has endured for nearly four decades, and one of the biggest reasons that it's more popular than ever is the vicious villains who threaten the universe. An anime is often only as good as its antagonists, and when it comes to Dragon Ball, it's hard to top the tyrannical terror Frieza. Frieza first gains notoriety during the heroes' trip to Planet Namek to collect its Dragon Balls, but he remains a pivotal player in the franchise long after his initial death.

Even now, Frieza has revealed his intimidating new Black Frieza form and unbelievable strength that puts him above both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta. Superman: Legacy is deep in pre-production and will usher in a new era of DC and superhero films. David Corenswet is set to play the next Man of Steel under the direction of DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn, and with any reboot, one of the most exciting elements fans have to look forward to is what the hero's suit will look like from a new creative team. Superman has a complicated history with his suit, and the red trunks are at the center of it.

For the past few years on screen with Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin's versions of Superman, the trunks have disappeared while the comics have since brought them back. Gunn recently shared on X they are still figuring out the costume's direction for Superman: Legacy. Once cameras are underway for Superman: Legacy sometime next year, audiences will surely get a glimpse at the new suit.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe, or the MCU, is not just a collection of superhero movies. Aside from the aesthetics of costume-wearing heroes with Marvel-style names like Peter Parker and Bruce Banner, these movies often feel more like the traditional action movies they are. The MCU has plenty in common with action flicks like Die Hard, Terminator 2, and Inception, compete with the same clichés.

While some of the McU's tropes and clichés have started losing their appeal, the good news is that others are warmly embraced, even when they're unapologetically cheesy. In some ways, the McU's well-established action movie clichés keep these movies more grounded, and helps make them more appealing to fans of more conventional action movies. The MCU can make some of these action movie clichés even better with glitzy superhero vibes, iconic moments, and stellar acting.
