Dagmara Dominczyk, Marcin Dorocinski, and Patrick Wilson in Jack Strong (2014)

Trivia

Jack Strong

Edit
Pistol that central character uses near end of film is (accurately) the P-64 9mm Makarov. As he approaches the door of his house, he racks the slide. He thus proves an important fact about this firearm now widely sold in the US to civilians, viz. that it is dangerous to carry it with a round in the chamber. It does not have a firing pin block and will accidentally discharge if dropped on its muzzle.
Epilogue before closing credits: "In 1984, a court martial in the People's Republic of Poland sentenced Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski to death. In 1997, he was cleared of all charges. It was ruled that he had acted out of absolute necessity. His exoneration was an important unofficial condition of Poland's accession to NATO. Both of Colonel Kuklinski's sons, Bogdan and Waldemar, died in the 1990s in circumstances which remain unexplained."
Patrick Wilson is married and has children with costar in this film Dagmara
Prologue mid opening credits: "A few years after the end of the World War II the world became mired in the Cold War. Two camps faced off against each other. One, the Soviet Union and its subjugated countries. The other, the Free World led by the USA. An arms race began in which the Soviets were gaining an advantage. The threat of another World War loomed over the world. This time a nuclear war. Based on a true story."
