Enjoyed the movie very much. Captivating and thrilling dark comedy. Asks a lots of questions and respects the audience to think for themselves. Great cinematography, great dialogue and great casting. Vincent is a very unique film that gives us an insight into human nature especially when dealing with addiction and the many forms it can come in. I think anyone can see this movie (16+) and have something to take away from the experience of viewing Vincent. The variety of filming locations kept the film engaging and interesting as we travelled through the psyche of a wide cast of characters. I highly recommend to see the movie.
VIncent is a thought provoking Australian film that takes you on a journey of the inner turmoil of the main character. Though dark at times, the film was peppered with beautiful characters who both enhanced the character portrayal of Vincent as well as providing a nice interjection at times. I was fortunate enough to be present at a Q & A session with the crew post movie screening which gave me a greater appreciation of the on screen representation. Towards the end of the film, i found myself wanting to revisit scenes from earlier on or indeed the entire film - I think I might just do that! Well done to all involved in the making of Vincent.
I truly loved watching Vincent. I was totally drawn in and enjoyed where it took me. I laughed at times, I was moved at times. There are some beautiful moments.. It's a skilful work of art that is honest, restrained, sensitive and jarring. A great depiction of character, relationship and psyche. King who plays Vincent has a fantastic screen presence and natural acting that captures Vincent's bright and dark humanity. And the cast of incidental characters on Vincent's self discovery journey add a rich dimension through the quirky chapters it traverses. A thoroughly enjoyable watch.. Top notch!!
The camerawork is great. The tone is mopey yet comical. It's like a less frantic version of Trainspotting mixed with a little Stranger Than Fiction and It Follows. Alan King is brilliant in this. Hits all the right notes essential for making such an unlikable character likable. Very rarely do I laugh out loud when I watch streaming movies, but with this one I did three or four times. I do think the film could've gotten cut down just a tad with the run time, but it didn't feel terribly slow. Just some moments in the middle where I wondered where things were going. But sometimes that's okay. With this film, it certainly was. Hope this movie does something because it deserves an audience.

- Trivia'Vincent' was shot in just 7 days. To achieve this, director Alan King adopted many elements of the Dogme 95 style; quick set-ups, hand held camera, using as much of the the natural light where possible, and utilising the natural environment as a setting, rather than requiring complex art department set-ups for each location.
