On Sunday, February 18, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” won Best Hairstyling for Daytime Television during “The 11th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Hairstylists Lauren Mendoza, Justin Jackson, Michelle Corona and Diana Santana received the award for their work on the daytime drama series. Melissa Peterman hosted the awards show which honors members of the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706)

“The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” were also nominees in the Best Make-Up for Daytime Television category, but both shows lost out to “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula,” with make-up artists Swanthula Boulet and Dracmorda Boulet taking home the award.

‘The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge‘ is an upcoming baking contest series that is set to debut on Netflix on August 4, 2023. There will be 10 episodes of cake, cake and more fun cake!

Serving as a spin-off of the widely popular baking show ‘Nailed It!‘, this new series will showcase the talents of 10 amateur bakers as they receive guidance from professional pastry chefs and vie for a “yummy” cash prize.

The show will be hosted by Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres (pastry chef and chocolatier), who are also the hosts of ‘Nailed It!‘.

In comparison to its predecessor (‘Nailed It!’), ‘The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge‘ will challenge the contestants further. They will receive enhanced training and resources to up their chances of success. A lineup of celebrity bakers, will help the contestants guiding them with tricks and tips. They include New York best-selling cookbook author and baking expert Erin Jeanne McDowell,...

With its list of new releases for August 2023, Netflix is giving the anime world another shot.

No, we’re not talking about the streamer’s usual anime offerings – which are present this month in the form of Ragnarok season 3 (Aug. 24) and other titles – we’re talking about Netflix’s attempt to make live-action anime adaptations a thing. Following the relative failure of its Cowboy Bebop remake, Netflix is giving it another go, this time with arguably an even bigger anime classic. One Piece will premiere on Aug. 31. Telling the story of beloved straw hat wearing pirate Monkey D. Luffy, this adaptation will attempt to do original creator Eiichiro Oda and his many fans proud.

Netflix’s August 2023 lineup of movies and TV shows includes the four-part Untold documentary series, season two of Heartstopper, and the release of the second half of The Lincoln Lawyer season two. The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge cooks up (hopefully) tasty treats, and the limited series Painkiller delves into the origin of America’s opioid crisis.

The streaming service’s August schedule also includes the debut of the live-action One Piece series, based Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history. Plus, Gal Gadot stars in Heart of Stone, an action thriller premiering on August 11, 2023.

Netflix recently announced a bigger spinoff for 2018's Nailed It, which saw three amateur bakers competing for a $10,000 cash prize and a Nailed It! trophy. Titled The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge, the upcoming baking show will introduce two baking experts, Erin Jeanne McDowell and Robert Lucas, as they guide not just three but ten inexperienced bakers in their quest to win a sweet cash prize of $100,000. With a bigger reward on the line and more competitors in the kitchen, the forthcoming show promises to be a wild television experience, and the recently released trailer seems to be fulfilling that promise.

Similar to its predecessor, the offshoot will feature 10 amateur chefs attempting to bake a variety of confections from plain vanilla to cake in the shape of pizza. However, the grand prize is a whopping $100,000 to the last wannabe chef standing instead of Nailed It!‘s $10,000 per episode. In addition, two professional pastry chefs will guide the contestants through all of the slip-ups and disasters as seen in the trailer above.

10 bakers will try their best to whip up creations that are recognizable on Netflix’s The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge. In addition to justified humiliation, the new Nailed It format offers the chosen bakers a shot at actually getting better and learning tricks of the trade from world-renowned pastry chefs.

Nicole Byer returns as host along with her sidekick, head judge Jacques Torres. Baking expert Erin Jeanne McDowell and cake artist Robert Lucas mentor the bakers in hopes of turning them into better versions of their baking selves.
