After a friend goes missing, members of a self-help group head out to her house to find out what happened, but when they arrive they find the story about a demonic nun stalking the location to be true and must find a way to get away from the house before falling prey to the killer.
Overall, this one wasn't all that bad. One of the finer aspects of this one is the simplistic and somewhat enjoyable setup about getting the group out to the house and coming across the fabled killer. The opening bits involving the support group going around to the house to investigate the disappearance of one of the group when they fail to appear at one of the meetings and discover the area is the site of a series of strange disappearances and murders over the years of a maniacal nun works well. Going for a plausible explanation that gets everyone out to the house in the middle of nowhere and giving off a logical enough reason for the group stumbling upon the killer who targets those who have stayed there in the past as well as the present, this is all fine enough to get a solid start to this one. From there, the series of interactions and confrontations with the killer get quite fun as the stalking here has some likable qualities. The flashbacks to the past encounters and kills carried out by the nun serve this well to get a fun start much like the attack on the missing girl which has quite a lot to like. The later series of stalking scenes featuring the killer taking out the locals around the house before turning to the group is a solid touch as it provides a series of fun encounters in the final half involving the group getting taken out in some decent enough sequences throughout the house or in the surrounding areas. As this includes some solid gore effects and a bit of smarts from the survivors in how to deal with the killer, there are some likable factors throughout here. This one does have some issues with it that hold it back. The main issue with this one is the general lack of stupidity that's established here with what's going on, not following any sense of rationality or intelligence. Characters spend far too much time blatantly ignoring the keys to leave the house with the series of encounters following the same pattern so it makes little sense how anyone can trust what's going on. This continues with the amount of stupidity in the attack scenes where they forget where the killer is, drop weapons, or just walk into situations where they get confronted again after escaping where they get knocked off again which just comes off as quite stupid and infuriating. There's also the issue here with the film offering one of the stupidest and outright lame motivations for the killer to go on their rampage. This one tries to make the rampage a result of being inspired by online snuff videos and looking to make extra money by filming the attacks as a way to upload them and capitalize on the craze which renders a lot of the running time incongruous with what's gone on. By making for a different motivation than the previous films, it renders the connection tenuous with why they decided to don the costume in the first place so that feels weak, a lot of the conversations playing up that connection come off as weak, and the explanation is stupid anyway so the killer is generally weak. Combined with the cheap production value, there are some issues here.
