L'Incroyable Cirque Numérique

Edit
Within 3 hours of the Pilots release, it had already managed to hit a million views.
The pilot got over 100 million views within a month, making it the most viewed independent animated pilot on Youtube at the time.
The creator has mentioned that the Harlan Ellison short story I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream was a main inspiration for this show.
(unconfirmed) There is a theory that each of the human characters represent different ways people cope with depression, with Gangle hiding behind a fake mask, Ragatha avoiding her own issues by helping others, Zooble being socially distant, Kinger losing a grip on reality, Jax belittling others for his own amusement and Pomni who has the healthiest approach of establishing meaningful relationships with those around her.
To make sure that the show's advertising would grow faster, it was revealed by Glitch productions in a YouTube community post, that squishy version of the characters Pomni, Ragatha and Jax, had to be put in a hydraulic press and then get squished to make them become gooey.
