I honestly love the series, but I was disappointed that there is still not a season 2. Please make a season 2.
Although it has some basic tropes it really goes all over the place in a good way and kept me interested. It needs some work must spend a little bit more time behind scenes pick up backstories and continuity.
Up time to go I'm really hoping for another revamp it would be super cool I would watch a little bit more fighting would be good too I'm trying to fill in all the characters because you know you have to and also and me personally would like a little less fan service and a little bit more character development into the main female lead other than that it's really good but then again all this can be fixed by a little bit more backstores and continuity.

All I'm going to say is: if you like dark comedy, anime, and a stellar voice cast (that's subjective I understand) then just give this one a try and see for yourself what you think! I was entertained throughout the entirety of this short run anime and so was my boyfriend... But why they gotta go and do me like that?! It just ends with quite a bit left to be tackled with the story... Maybe a season 2 will make a sneaky arrival? Eh I can dream can't I? All in all, a very fun watch.
"Blood Lad" is an anime that I was really looking forward to because I thought that the drawing style and the character design of the main protagonist looked very appealing.
The references to other animes sometimes made me exhale more forcefully from my nose.
But unfortunately none of that is of any use if the anime loses itself somewhere and no longer knows what to do with itself.
There is a goal to revive the girl, but the way to get there is clunky and boring.
In addition, I'm not a fan of fan service at all, which unfortunately is very present here...
I would not recommend this anime.

Blood lad is one of the best new anime's out there right now. What is special about it is that it is one of the few anime to make me laugh but still have enough action to keep me at the edge of my seat. I honestly don't think I have laughed as hard in any anime before as I have in this one. It also has a certain sexiness to it. They don't overdo anything thus keeping a nice balance for a nice and unique anime. The plot is fairly simple but it is good enough to have you continue watching or reading it for a long time. I was surprised when I watched this because I was not expecting such an anime coming out of VIZ media. I hope VIZ will continue to produce more anime like this.
