Toralv Maurstad (The Narrator) is the only actor in this and Flåklypa Grand Prix, though in different roles (he plays Ludvig in the original).
Reodors line "Dra meg nå baklengs inn i verktøykassa!" ("Pull me backwards into the toolbox!") is a reworking of Solans catchphrase from Flåklypa Grand Prix, that has since become a saying in Norway, "Dra meg nå baklengs inn i fuglekassa!" ("Pull me backwards into the nest box!")
The original translation of characters Solan and Ludvig were Sunny and Lambert in Flåklypa Grand Prix (Pinchcliffe Grand Prix) from 1975. Here, however, they are translated to Louis and Luca.
It appears that Solan has kicked his habit of smoking cigars, though he still drinks cognac (Though the drink is never named).
