Of course I had never heard about this 2024 movie titled "Mother Mafia" from director Daniel Yates. But of course, since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, I opted to give the movie a fair chance. In all honesty, I seriously believed that this movie was a movie from Maverick Entertainment. Turns out that it wasn't, but that didn't really make it an any more enjoyable movie.
The storyline in the movie was simplistic, to the point where I was starting to wonder if it was written by a high school student. Needless to say that I found very, very little entertainment in the script and storyline that Jasmine Ebony Thomas concocted for this movie.
The dialogue in the movie was brutally awful. I don't understand why they had many of the character speak like they were in a renaissance fair. It just made everything seem like a farce and a joke, making it rather difficult to take the characters seriously.
Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. The acting performances were fair enough, though nothing noteworthy, memorable or outstanding.
Sitting through 80 minutes of this movie was definitely a test of will. It was a boring movie at best.
