Glacial

It's hard to fault a Lifetime movie for being predictable since that is a part of their charm you feel smart and it's relaxing. But this movie is slow. When things finally come to a head you wish you hadn't spent so much time watching this.

Typical Lifetime Movie

This was the typical Lifetime movie. The heroine is in trouble and fighting for the truth. The acting was not very good. The main character played by Julie Benz was bland and her best friend was irritating. Actually, I don't know if it was the actors, or the script, or the directing. Probably all of the above. It was a 'B' movie at best. Nothing new in the plot, delivery or outcome. I actually figured it all out half way through. There also was a little side plot (criminal cases) that I didn't quite understand the outcome of. It left me with a few questions. I wouldn't really recommend this movie, unless your sitting around the house and want background noise, while you clean or work on your computer, because you don't really have to give this your complete attention. There are much better movies out there.

Julie Benz in TV movie

Cyber crime cop Zoey Loson (Julie Benz) and her police detective husband Barry (Rick Ravanello) live in the suburbs with their young son. She spots Barry cheating on her and the rocky relationship deteriorates. A mystery figure sets their home on fire killing her son and sets her up for the crime.

It's a Lifetime TV movie. It needs to get to the fire sooner. The first half needs some compressing. It's not much of a mystery. It does have some minor twists. It is mostly a TV movie of the week, but it does have Julie Benz. At least, she keeps this interesting, but there isn't much more than that.

So bad and I generally like Julie Benz

This movie was terrible and the "twist" was obvious. I ended up skipping ahead to get to the "climax."

Another thing I hate about these movies is how extreme they are. And if you end up sitting through this, you will ask the same question. I won't give any spoilers, but this seems like the most bizarre set of events given the plot set up. I wish the "twist" was more creative.

Alternates between three (3) movie titles but this made for TV film was unimpressive

FYI This made for TV film goes by three different titles which are: 1. A Badge Of Betrayal 2. Sole Custody 3. The Arsonist

Whatever the movie title goes by this made for TV film was predictable and unimpressive. I really like Julie Benz as an actress but come on writers, give the actors more of a story line to work with. A cheating husband, both husband and wife work for the local police department, and they have a young eight (8) year old son they both want custody of. You get the drift I am sure.

I can usually tell after the first twenty (20) minutes or so if the film will be able to hold my attention or just be one of a thousand other boring made for TV crime/drama films with an irritating film score that tries to hold our attention with that similar soap opera suspenseful music that goes on and on and on.

I was waiting to see this film for some time and I can now state my wait was not worth the film content. Sorry Ms. Benz but quite frankly this film was a stinker. Put it behind you and hold out for a better storyline.

I give the film a poor 4 out of 10 IMDb rating.

Absolutely awful lol

This movie literally gets worse the longer you watch it. I think this may very well be the worse movie I've ever seen (and I've seen some terrible movies in my life.) I was actually hard down laughing for the last 10-15 minutes. It's comical how awful this movie is lmao. The acting is atrocious. Some of it can be blamed on the writing, but every actor in here did horribly regardless of that. The entire plot is goofy as hell. Nothing believable going on, not even anything logical. Whenever you don't think it can get any worse, BAM! They top it with something even more ridiculous than before. I wouldn't waste my time if you haven't seen this yet.

A truly horrible ending

If the rest of the movie wasn't bad enough, they had to tack on an ending which was just horrible on so many levels.

Lifetime movies are so insepidly brutally constructed and this is among the worst I;ve seen from them.

The logic is beyond stupid and the ending so far fetched that I wonder who is getting paid off by whom.

Did the writers pay off the producers to get this made?

Did the person typing such drivel have enough money to pay off a production company just to get this horrible thing developed?

It's bad - and it's giving Vancouver a bad reputation for making gargabe films that get attached to the Lifetime Movie Network - and this is evedence of it.

Direction was bad, story was bad, locations were bad.

Just Ridiculous

This was pretty bad stuff , Such a silly storyline, completely far fetched and unbelievable !!!

I am going to skip straight to the end here , because the rest of it just is't worth talking about. I am not giving anything away , but , do watch the last " climatic " scene to see one of the most stupid , cringeworthy endings , totally ridiculous !!!

Especially Rick Ravanello's face !!!!!

A low rating deserved here.
