A Moment for Love is a heartfelt and vibrant celebration of identity, self-expression, and love within the LGBTQ+ community. At its core, the film follows Bobby Love, a fashion designer who pours his soul into his work, using bold designs to challenge conventions and tell his own story. Through his journey, the film explores themes of acceptance, resilience, and the courage it takes to live authentically. With striking visuals and deeply emotional performances, it captures the beauty and struggles of embracing one's true self in a world that doesn't always understand.
What makes A Moment for Love special is its sincerity-it doesn't just tell an LGBTQ+ story; it immerses the audience in the emotions, dreams, and heartbreaks that define it. The film's energy is infectious, blending moments of joy with raw vulnerability, making it both uplifting and deeply moving. Whether you connect with its themes of self-discovery or simply appreciate the artistry of its storytelling, this film leaves a lasting impression. It's a love letter to those who dare to be different and a reminder that being true to yourself is always worth it.

This film is a vibrant, visually stunning experience that delivers both style and substance. The larger-than-life characters are bursting with personality, making every moment exciting and unpredictable. The styling is absolutely out of this world-each frame is meticulously crafted, with bold fashion, striking cinematography, and a dazzling color palette that enhances the film's overall appeal. It's a feast for the eyes, but beneath the flashy exterior lies a tender and heartfelt story that delves into themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.
The narrative gracefully balances emotional depth with pure entertainment, offering a touching exploration of relationships, grief, and personal growth. At its heart, the film never loses its sense of fun, taking the audience on a journey to breathtaking locations like Venice. The travel sequences add to the sense of adventure, making the story feel even more immersive and expansive. The combination of romance, humor, and poignant moments keeps the film engaging from start to finish.
Bobby Love shines both as a writer and lead actor, delivering a compelling and layered performance. His ability to blend charm, vulnerability, and wit makes his character incredibly memorable. Meanwhile, Adam Huss also puts in a stellar performance, adding depth and charisma to the story. The chemistry between the cast is undeniable, making every interaction feel authentic and engaging. This is a super fun and enjoyable film that looks incredible, and I can't wait to see what these talented creators do next.

A Moment For Love is more than just a rom-com-it's an immersive, fairy-tale-like journey that blends fashion, fantasy, and deep emotional storytelling. Directed by Joseph and Phillip Matarrese, and co-written by the film's star, Bobby Love, this semi-autobiographical film is both visually striking and profoundly moving.
At its heart, the film follows Trevor (Adam Huss), a singer-songwriter burdened by a painful secret, who stumbles into the magical and flamboyant world of Bobby Love, an out-and-proud fashion designer. As their friendship grows, Trevor learns to release his past and embrace the love and acceptance that Bobby and his chosen family offer. Filmed against the stunning backdrops of Los Angeles and Venice during Carnivale, the film's aesthetic is as extravagant as its themes, featuring actual footage from Bobby Love's bold and avant-garde runway shows.
What makes A Moment For Love truly special is its unapologetic celebration of self-expression. The fashion in the film is breath-taking, with each piece serving as a testament to Bobby Love's artistry-think the grandeur of Mardi Gras meets the elegance of Venetian masquerades. But beyond the spectacle, the film carries an emotional weight, tackling themes of love, loss, self-discovery, and the power of chosen family.
Adam Huss delivers a layered and heartfelt performance, while Bobby Love shines as both an actor and creative force behind the film. Their chemistry is undeniable, making their journey of friendship and healing all the more compelling. The film's balance of humour, romance, and poignant moments ensures that it remains both entertaining and deeply resonant.

A Moment For Love (2025) is a whimsical, heartfelt rom-com that seamlessly blends fantasy, fashion, and emotional depth. Starring Adam Huss as Trevor, a singer-songwriter grappling with a haunting past, the film invites viewers into the dazzling, magical world of out-and-proud fashion designer Bobby Love. As Trevor becomes part of Bobby's chosen family, he embarks on a journey of healing, self-acceptance, and ultimately, surrendering to love.
What sets this film apart is its visually stunning costume design-each garment worn by Bobby Love himself feels like a living piece of art. The intricate beadwork, vibrant colors, and dreamlike craftsmanship evoke the extravagance of New Orleans Mardi Gras chiefs and Venetian Carnivale, grounding the film in a rich tradition of over-the-top spectacle. Yet, beyond the visual feast, the story beats with a tender heart, celebrating friendship, self-expression, and the transformative power of love.

"A Moment for Love" is a whimsical and heartfelt fairytale rom-com that blends music, fashion, and personal transformation into a dazzling cinematic experience. With Adam Huss delivering a touching performance as Trevor, the film explores themes of identity, healing, and found family, all set against the vibrant backdrop of Bobby Love's magical world. Featuring real footage from Bobby's legendary runway shows and filmed in breathtaking locations, this award-winning story is as visually stunning as it is emotionally resonant, earning a well-deserved 9/10. Definitely worth the watch if you're into LGBT+ cinema.
A Moment for Love is an LBGTQ+ fun and fabulous ride with a capitol "F". The costumes where glorious, the sets and the production value was top notch, the music was lovely. The sound design, the cinemaphotography, the editing...Oh and did I mention the costumes...It says on IMDB that the co-writer Bobby Love is also a costume designer so besides his directing talents his flare for the glam shows far and wide. Even though it's a love story it's more than just that, the script takes you on this lavish journey. At the end of the day the film had a lot of heart. Bobby Love and the entire production team did one heck of a job!

I met Bobby Love at the Labryinth Masquerade Ball, and I had always seen him in his amazing costumes at the Renaissance Faire! I finally had the courage to talk to him and he was very kind! He mentioned his movie and I decided to take a look at it.
You can tell how much passion went into this film and it was a joy watching. I loved the color choices for lighting as well as seeing even more of his intricate costumes! I was a bit jealous because I want to wear them too!
As an artist, the creative bits of editing and cinematic shots were every single emotion. Beautiful, dazzling, stunning, fun, and quirky!
I enjoyed the humor and added drama. I loved the overall message of being unapologetically yourself and learning how to find love within yourself. A fun movie to see, I had a great time watching! I hope to see more!

I thoroughly enjoyed A Moment for Love. This film kept my attention from beginning to end. Blending romance and drama, the movie takes viewers on a thrilling ride through the complexities of human relationships, forgiveness, finding your true love and passion without settling, and the resilience of the human spirit.
The story follows lead character fashion guru Bobby Love as his navigates his professional and personal life. I was particularly impressed by the strong performances from the cast, all of whom brought depth and authenticity to their roles.
What stood out most about this film was its ability to balance intense emotional moments with lighter, more humorous scenes. The pacing was perfect, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the characters' journeys without losing interest. Each twist and turn in the plot felt organic and well thought out, keeping me engaged and eager to see what would happen next.
The cinematography was absolutely stunning, capturing the essence of the settings beautifully and enhancing the overall mood of the film.
If you're looking for a movie that combines rich storytelling with stellar performances, I highly recommend A Moment for Love. It's a film that resonates long after the credits roll, leaving you with plenty to reflect on.

This movie was suggested as a moment to try something different and enter a fascinating and colorful world, completely foreign to me. The movie revolves around Bobby Love, an eccentric fashion designer who lives in a castle in L. A. and the people who are drawn to him.
At first, I felt out of my comfort zone but as I watched, the calming force for me and I think the center of the story is Bobby himself. Beneath the glamour, posh, and outlandish outfits is a simple man of love. Quite fitting.
I liked the story because of this. The writer never strayed from the central theme of loving and caring for each other.
The story gives an example of how we can change our perspective. In the beginning, the outfits were too outlandish, headwear over the top and simply too much for me. By the end of the movie, I was admiring a headdress Bobby was wearing that depicted a man rowing a gondola in Venice, Italy. Flashy yet perfectly fit.
I rooted for the happy ending and rewarded. Definitely worth a watch.

The visuals of this film are outstanding. The costumes are grand and larger than life but are also intricate in their design. Freezing the action is the only way to truly appreciate the vast panoramic eye-candy in this production. Then, there are the locales from LA to Venice, Italy! Just wonderful locations, wonderful set design. A quirky fantasy about being true to yourself and following your bliss, whether it's Bobby staying true to his art, an amazingly photogenic Bobby Love, or Trevor not giving up on his dream of music no matter what life throws at him, sung and played beautifully by Adam Huss. The song in the bar was especially haunting. Not to forget Bonnie Morgan who plays Suzy and Jenny. Aside from the welcome physicality,, she creates excellent characters. The visuals of the film alone make it worth a look.

A magical, Alice in Wonderland like LGBTQ rom-com, "A Moment for Love" is pure joy! A wonderfully made film with a terrific cast, it features Bobby Love playing a version of himself to delightful effect. His presence is part of the film's charm, and the footage of his spectacular runway shows are really out of this world. They're worth the rental cost alone - and that's only the tip of the magical iceberg here. The movie is filled with camp-fun, with the more serious moments bathed in an eventual love and warmth that make the film shine. It's ultimately a feel good movie with a very big, beating heart at its center. Exactly what is needed for our very difficult times. I can wholeheartedly recommend this indie gem!

I watched this last night on Amazon and was really drawn into the story. The lavish costumes and production design were very eye-catching as well.
The story flowed with interesting characters throughout. Bobby Love's character was very entertaining to watch.
I also thought the movie had a unique spin on the LGBTQ genre. As the story unfolds you get to get a sense of the fashion world as well as watching a love story unfold that pulls at the heart strings.
Overall, I thought the movie was very well done and entertaining to watch.
I'll probably give it a second viewing here soon.
Highly recommend.

A magical celebration of love, identity and living life authentically. A great story with amazing locations, costumes and of course performances including Bobby Love and Adam Huss. Huss also displays his musical talents just as he did in Waiting in the Wings a few years back.
This is a wonderful journey and a celebration of the different kinds of love and friendship that are possible in life.
The music adds another enhancement and supports the mood of this film with it's dramatic and comical ups and downs.
The visuals in this film alone are worth watching. The performances are another reason for watching. A delightful LGBTQ+ film.

As someone who grew up in the rural south, I don't have much background in high fashion, "Haute Couture." A Moment for Love gave me an insight into this world, the sometimes petty jealousies, the runway pressures, and the artistic friendships. Most of all, the friendships, which triumph over the jealousies. This movie must have been very fun to make. It is visually stunning, not only the wardrobe, but the locations, with a magically castle overlooking LA and locations that include Venice. Bobby is the anchor but the friends that surround him give the movie its heart. I particularly loved the woman who played the contortionist as she brought an infectious joy to ever scene.
I'm so glad I was introduced to this original and charming film. It was like nothing I'd seen before or was expecting, a personal vision filled with art, camp, and gorgeous imagery. The costumes by Bobby Love are eye-catching works of art in themselves, and I loved the soulful and catchy original songs. The final musical number and its message of individuality is still ringing through my mind. I was happy to see the film had a hopeful and positive message -- something we need more of in today's times. If you want to get swept up in an original vision that exists in its own fairytale world, check out "A Moment for Love"!

A Moment For Love is an outrageous, campy delight that revels in its own eccentricity. This offbeat comedy, destined for cult classic status, follows a flamboyant singer-songwriter who stumbles into the vibrant world of a fashion designer and his magical, chosen family.
The film wears its heart on its sequined sleeve, embracing themes of acceptance, reinvention, and the joy of found family. What it lacks in subtlety, it more than makes up for in bold stylistic choices, outrageous costumes, and a soundtrack that's equal parts glam, disco, and pure glitter-fueled joy.
While the plot veers into the absurd, that's part of the charm. The over-the-top performances, melodramatic dialogue, and surreal sequences blur the line between satire and sincerity. It's a film that knows exactly what it is-and doesn't apologize for it.
If you're looking for realism, this isn't it. But if you want a heartfelt, high-camp journey through sequins, self-discovery, and show-stopping musical numbers, A Moment For Love delivers an unforgettable ride.
Would you like a version of this that's shorter or punchier for marketing or a quote pull?

Gorgeous cinematography and a lovely, immersive sound mix are the gateways into this indie gem, with stunning costume design and a lush look. It's a campy delight with a sincerity and sweetness at its core, driven by some really nice performances all round. There's a message in here too, in amongst the silly jokes and spectacular wardrobe choices, about following your dreams and staying true to your path despite the obstacles that you might encounter. There's even the odd creepy moment thrown in, meaning there's really something for everyone here. Some beautiful framing choices add to the sense of this being a self-contained world, existing alongside our own and maybe just a wish away, bringing to mind early Tim Burton mixed with a whole boat load of glitz and glamour. There's some lovely music along the way, too. Bravo.
A moment for love is a vibrant and visually stunning film. The movie opened with taking us into a brilliant, vibrant, and magical world we knew little about. It was reminiscent of a Potter film in its imagination and imagery. The storytelling is different from what I expected but engaging. Bobby, the main character was a force to reckon with and his acting was so much better. I really enjoyed the fact that I could watch a movie with an interesting story without having to sit through scene after scene of gratuitous violence and mayhem. That in itself is an accomplishment worthy of the ten stars.

Film Review: A Moment for Love
A Moment for Love is a mesmerizing exploration of the complexities of romance, identity, and self-acceptance. This beautifully crafted film weaves a compelling narrative of a love triangle, but it transcends the typical tropes of the genre, offering instead a poignant meditation on the importance of embracing oneself before extending that love to others.
Visually, A Moment for Love is a feast for the eyes. The cinematography is nothing short of stunning, with each frame thoughtfully composed, showcasing not only the emotional depth of the characters but also the artistry of fashion design that plays a pivotal role in the story. The costumes serve as a reflection of each character's journey, enhancing the narrative's emotional resonance. From elegant gowns to avant-garde pieces, the fashion elements are seamlessly interwoven into the plot, elevating the storytelling to an art form.
The film's central message-"to love yourself before you can love anyone else"-resonates deeply. This theme is not just a backdrop but rather the heartbeat of the narrative. The characters' struggles with self-acceptance and their journeys toward embracing their true selves are portrayed with authenticity and sensitivity. The writer has clearly infused personal experiences into the script, using their pain as a vehicle for profound storytelling. This approach adds layers of depth, inviting viewers to reflect on their own lives and the importance of self-love.
The performances are equally commendable, with the actors delivering heartfelt portrayals that draw you into their emotional worlds. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, creating a tension that keeps you invested in their intertwined fates. As the love triangle unfolds, we witness not just the beauty and excitement of love, but also the heartache and growth that accompany it.
What I found particularly moving about A Moment for Love is its encouragement to use pain as a catalyst for purpose. This message is woven throughout the film, reminding us that our struggles can lead to meaningful transformation and deeper connections with others. It's a sentiment that resonates universally, making this film not just a romantic tale but a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
In conclusion, A Moment for Love is a beautifully made film that captivates both the heart and the mind. Its rich visual artistry, combined with a meaningful narrative, makes it a must-watch. Bobby Love and his team have crafted a story that invites audiences to embrace love and life fully, and I highly recommend this film to anyone seeking inspiration and a deeper understanding of the complexities of love. Prepare to be moved, uplifted, and perhaps even transformed.

I am Chair Emeritus of San Antonio QFest International Film Festival. A Moment for Love won our Lily Tomlin Memorial Award for Best Comedic Feature film. Bonnie Morgan was nominated for our Barbara Gittings Memorial Award for Best Character Portrayal. Bobby Love and his larger than life fashion designer personality is showcased in a fantasy of epic proportion. Engaging, sexy, thrilling and fun, this film makes you laugh from the first frames and keeps you involved and drawn into the sensational spectacle that will dazzle the senses. The director successfully creates a stunning visual feast that will surely delight the senses and boggle the mind. The film does this effortlessly while creating a narrative that moves easily from suspense to humor, love and despair. This tantalizing fable provides an emotional journey we move through with each of the characters. The unforgettable characters waste no time building a world and drawing the audience into their awe and wonder. Ominous portents keep the audience on the edge while the story of love and desire unfolds. Genuinely humorous, I continually found myself laughing through the film. This poignant film has gorgeous aerial photography and is a moving painting creating stunning and monumental art. In this day and age it is rare to find a film that makes you completely forget your phone. Bobby Love's deadpan delivery of hilarious one liners keeps you laughing through the entire story. Bonnie Morgan displays exacting depth and range from the lighthearted new fling to the jilted love of past lives. The juxtaposition of her characters is what led to a nomination for our Best Character Portrayal. Making the contrast seem effortless as well as disturbingly dynamic, Bonnie exhibits a master class of breathing life into characters. The production was fantastic and wildly imaginative, the decor enraptured the audience. Visually tantalizing and infinitely inventive, this design is unique in breath and scale, as fabulous as Bobby Love himself. Each scene is dressed as a triumph in coloration and composition. The fact that this was made by a couple who have worked as gaffers in Hollywood for years shows. Accent and practical lights demonstrate a mastery of painting with light.
