First of all, let me just start up by saying I don't understand all of the one star reviews. This is a very well done indie that deserves quite a bit of praise. First off, the film looks great, well shot and composed. Both actors were entirely natural and real - something that is often missing from movies like this. The writing is strong, with an emphasis on conversation between disparate male/female dynamics. As the action progressed and took a genuine turn, l found myself talking to the TV, which I don't do often, and to me, that's good writing...I was fully engaged. Give this film a look; it showcases a lot of talent and is a cut above usual small-budget films.
I just watched the movie WRONG NUMBERS.
The movie has a lot of strong scenes that are deep and takes a look at what can go wrong from a one night stand.
The movie is directed by Duane Edwards and stars Emily Hall & David Kelsey.
This is a very realistic journey of a woman with believable characters that are incredibly genuine to watch on screen.
The storyline pulls you in many directions as you're watching this movie.
The movie has lots of real life circumstances. This is a natural ride through life portrayed on screen. It was also shot in a very cool way with many scenes that make you think and reflect. I thought all the lead actors all had great onscreen chemistry- they were great together. The sets and scenes are great. Check this movie out! You'll remember it!

Duane Edward's drama/thriller/romance "Wrong Numbers" was a recent discovery (through the film's Facebook page), and what started as a blind watch turned into a 2025 gem discovery!
It takes a lot to captivate an audience these days, especially with a limited cast (two in this case), and essentially focus on one story throughout, which, as a fellow writer, is beyond admirable, and something I hope to accomplish one day.
Yes, there is a lot of back-and-forth talking between the two characters, however, the importance is the realism of the conversations being had and how the actions are handled in an entirely realistic manner.
I promise that once you finish this film (and I know you will) that you will say to yourself, "I know someone like that".
Mission accomplished to everyone attached to this beautiful indie drama.

Wrong numbers is an independent drama by filmmaker Duane Edwards making his directorial feature film debut.
Set in Chicago The film is broken into two halves
The first half after a bad blind date in a restaurant perfect strangers Emma (Emily Hall) and Jack (David Kelsey) strike up a conversation and briefly share a connection.
The second half is set ten months later where Emma coincidentally runs into Jack at the cafe she works at.
However it becomes very clear their second meeting is no coincidence, and Jack has made some very drastic changes to his life since they last spoke.
Viewers looking for a fast paced film with action and neat resolutions in the end will be sorely disappointed but for the rest of us the nuances of the story was definitely worth investing my time and energy into.
The dialogue was very good and the characters felt relatable- I've met a lot of people like Jack and Emma well meaning individuals trying to navigate this messy world and being stuck in relationships routines and situations they don't want to be in but just can't break away from.
Overall Wrong Numbers was a very put together film about longing unrequited love and reflecting on the chances you didn't take and where it couldve lead.
I look forward to seeing what director Duane Edwards does next.

Movie was recommended to me by a friend and I had no context. I thought the two actors were great and I loved how their roles changes significantly from beginning to end. She was aloof yet calculated. Enjoyed it very much.
Jack was good and was the guy you were all touting for to do the right thing. We were shocked at the turn of events at the end of the movie. This was the first time I watched a movie with only two characters. It made is very engaging and easy to stay engaged. The plot kept you engaged the entire time.
Congrats to the crew and cast for a very well done production. Love the setting in Chicago. Hope to see more of these films from the producer and cast.
