I admit I watched this for my favourite K-pop crush Donghae. He of course was adorable, as was the other hot guy who likes young simi, however almost every other character I found to be super irritating (especially the YouTube chick). By the last episode I still couldn't figure out who was who in the females in her family as they all look the same age, and the storyline's were just weird.
The comedy was quite good, the cliches were numerous and the writing was pretty freaking awful but I made it through it (yay Donghae!). If only more effort was put into the writing and the directing it could have been really good. It wasn't bad or anything but could have been way better.

Well, this was a bit refreshing, initially. The drama had a good run throughout its first half with a solid setup around the character Young Shim and her drawn character Youngsim. It allowed for quite a few of funny scenarios and bits. Song Ha Yoon did a great job in bringing the erratic nature of both Young Shim and Youngsim to life. However, the drama dipped hard in the realm of mediocrity around episode 6, turning the drama into the most bland and generic displays of soulless cliché romcoms. Forget everything the drama built up earlier on. The female lead life story was built on her father's character Youngsim and her erratic personality but that was abandoned. It's really unfortunate for the wasted potentials it initially had.
Korean Drama " Oh! Youngsimi " is a light office drama.
The story is pretty simple and kind of predictable, utilizing a lot of tropes and cheesy twists. However, it does keep things light and romantic throughout the series.
However, the story does get idiotic after a while. It was dated and even got boring.
The performances, in addition, were decent, though not great. Especially the male lead was not probably ready for a main part and did not improve since his last drama which was a few years ago. The rest of the cast were okay, though didn't have much to work with.
So, overall, two out of ten.

Rating an 8 for it's comical elements, even though they weren't the most original I have ever seen but they were still funny. It made me laugh quite a few times especially when the ML and the FL has "skinship" by accident and the FL's sister reports the misunderstanding to her sister's colleague who has a crush on her. Again the incident comes up at a work related weekend when they were forced to play the game truth or dare in front of everyone at work There were some hysterical scenes. Didn't like the parts when they were trying to get their new show off the ground too much (together), but always watch to the end, and the series is still ongoing at this point so may come back later to re-rate this again as it goes on and we see the ending.
