Kelly Reilly has lived up to pretty much all her fans’ expectations with her beyond-iconic works, of which Beth Dutton from the Yellowstone saga continues to be regarded as her best one to date by many. Her epic rendition in Taylor Sheridan’s Western has been so commendable that many might as well expect her to continue her role in case the series gets revived for new seasons.

And yet, when it comes to the actress herself, the events of that happening seem as unlikely as ever. This is because of her previous statements about her character, through which she made it directly clear that she’s not looking to play the feisty Dutton again after the conclusion of this series. If anything, she even expressed that she doesn’t want to play similar roles to Beth either.

If “We Are the World” marked The Greatest Night in Pop, then the Monterey International Pop Festival can easily be considered one of the most remarkable weekends in rock history. Yes, Otis Redding gave the performance of a lifetime and Ravi Shankar secured his legendary status, but it was Jimi Hendrix whose set goes down in history as fire, culminating in him setting his guitar ablaze during a transcendent rendition of “Wild Thing.” That night will no doubt be part of the upcoming doc about the life, times and experiences of Jimi Hendrix.
Director Bao Nguyen – who was also behind the Bruce Lee doc Be Water – said of his approach to his Jimi Hendrix film, “Telling the story of Jimi Hendrix during his pivotal years in London is both a profound honor and a unique responsibility. Yellowstone’s Kelly Reilly is quick to insist that she doesn’t know what the back half of Season 5 holds in store for Beth Dutton. “I mean, I know the ending of the show, which I’ve known for six years,” she tells TVLine. “We all knew what the ending would be. We’re going to film that this summer.”
However, the way that Beth’s storyline wraps up on the Paramount Network hit remains a mystery, even to her portrayer. “But what would I hope for her?” Reilly muses. “Peace, I think.”

The idea of artists needing a “career reboot” often has as much to do with the petulant impatience of content-saturated fans than the actual situation of the artist in question. But in the case of Sia, the urgency of a course correction is hard to deny. Sia broke out from the ranks of top-level songwriters-for-hire in 2014 with the self-emptying party-kamikaze ginormity of “Chandelier.” Her 2017 album This is Acting was a concept record of sorts that repurposed songs she’d originally written with singers like Adele and Rihanna in mind, of...

Before you make your 2024 Emmy predictions for Best TV Movie, take a look through our photo gallery featuring the telefilms most likely to land in this year’s lineup. As it stands, Peacock’s “Mr. Monk’s Last Case” (a continuation of the eight-time Emmy-winning 2000s comedy series “Monk”) is comfortably leading the race.
“Mr. Monk’s Last Case” would be the first Peacock movie ever nominated in this category, as would “Genie” or “Shooting Stars.”
Last year, Hulu’s “Fire Island” and “Prey” were both passed over in favor of The Roku Channel’s “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” but the streamer could soon avenge those losses with “No One Will Save You,” “Quiz Lady,” or “Self Reliance.”
Netflix – which won this award for three “Black Mirror” installments (2017-2019) as well as “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” (2021) – can now achieve its fifth victory with “Scoop” or “Unfrosted.”

Dean Israelite’s coming-of-age drama film, Little Wing, follows the ups and downs of 13-year-old Kaitlyn’s life as she faces the typical teenage dramas many of us can relate to. Amidst Kaitlyn’s parents’ divorce, the teenage girl finds comfort in an unexpected companion: pigeons! In a bold move, Kaitlyn decides to steal a valuable pigeon named Granger, believing that, like the birds, everyone has a permanent home they belong to, no matter what changes life throws at them. Her goal? To save her family’s house from financial trouble. As Kaitlyn goes through these difficulties on her path, she learns some very valuable lessons about friendship and the true meaning of having a roof over the head, which we can call home. You’ve played Boar On The Floor. Now, get ready for The Bird Is The Word. Brian Cox, in the wake of wrapping up on Succession, is starring in coming-of-age film Little Wing, playing Jaan – a curmudgeonly pigeon-fancier from Portland, whose best bird is pilfered by Brooklynn Prince’s unruly teen Kaitlyn. Initially hoping to sell the prized pidge and fix her parents’ finances, Kaitlyn instead teams with Jaan to get the bird back. It’s a role that, inevitably, led to Cox spending much time with coo-ing co-stars – and while the age-old mantra indicates to never work with animals, they left Cox’s feathers largely un-ruffled.
“I had to interact a fair bit with the pigeons,” Cox tells Empire in the new issue. “They could be quite boisterous, but once they were in their cages, they were actually rather well-behaved. And I didn’t get shat on once.” Consider that a result.

Succession actor is a one of many discordant parts in this coming-of-age saga about pigeons, which are the best thing about the movie
The coming-of-age drama Little Wing opens with two facts, both quoted from the 2006 New Yorker article of the same name by Susan Orlean. The first: “Americans move, on average, every five years; pigeons almost never move.” The second: that racing pigeons “have a fixed, profound and nearly incontrovertible sense of home”.
The title card successfully imparts a few facts about the film, which premieres this week on the streaming service Paramount+. One, that Little Wing, directed by Dean Israelite from a screenplay by John Gatins, will awkwardly interweave human concerns with the very different realities of pigeons, who are indeed fascinating and the best thing about this movie. And that the film will attempt to vest such comparisons with certain deep insights about our sense of belonging and home.

In the fall of 2023, Taylor Sheridan's hit series Yellowstone made its CBS debut, bringing in a whole new era of fans for the neo-Western franchise. Naturally, that means Kelly Reilly was introduced to a second wave of viewers as the inimitable and irreverent lone daughter and sister of the ranching family, Beth Dutton. The actress definitely has the ability to charm, but Reilly also commands the respect of everyone around her in a male-driven, horse-raising, cattle-driving environment. Savvy veterans of Reilly's work know just how versatile and dynamic the actress is, and that has probably never been more evident than in her performance in the film Flight. As we gear up for what is sure to be another can't-miss performance by Reilly in Little Wing, it's high time to revisit her underrated performance in this powerful 2012 drama. The incredible Denzel Washington may get top billing and most of the screen time,...

Finland’s Tekele has announced that a second season of Yle original youth series “The Short Fuse” is in the works.
Directed by Jani Ilomäki, also behind police series “Roba,” it will be written by Pilke Salo, Milla Tuokkola and Janne Vanhanen and shot over June-July 2024, eyeing a 2025 release on Yle Areena.
Starring are Pyry Rautiainen, spotted in Selma Vilhunen’s drama “Little Wing,” Minttu Halttula and Elsa Lagerstedt.
“International interest has been very wide,” said producer Julia Elomäki, singling out French-speaking territories.
“Once again, the show is handling harsh and timely themes with honesty. Given the excellent reception of the first season, it proves there is a point in making ambitious series for younger audiences.”
Directed by Petra Lumioksa, the show’s first outing gained a lot of traction on social media as well.
“Especially on TikTok,” noted Elomäki.
“I have always considered the young audience to be important.

Warning: Spoilers for Reacher season 2 below!
Reacher season 2 stayed broadly faithful to Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble novel but made some key changes to the original story. The character of Detective Russo and his heroic sacrifice is a new addition, as are the 110th Special Investigators Unit flashbacks. Season 2 ends with Reacher and the 110th killing arms dealer Am, instead of leaving him for the authorities.
Amazon Prime Video's Reacher season 2 is largely faithful to the source material, but the sophomore outing still took some liberties with Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble. The eleventh book in the Reacher series, Bad Luck and Trouble is quite a jump from Child's debut, Killing Floor, which served as the basis for season 1. However, the focus on a story that's more personal to Alan Ritchson's Reacher and his military backstory is a welcome contrast to season 1's small-town corruption.

Corrupt bureaucracy, depraved cops, greedy business tycoons, and degenerate celebs are as recurrent in Reacher’s lore as one would generally expect from crime thrillers and mostly serve to set up conflicts or act as catalysts in the flow of the narrative. Among these varied dregs of society, crooked politicians seem to have a knack of getting in Reacher’s way more often. Perhaps Reacher’s anti-authoritarian stance acts as a magnet to draw out the rot in the system, which was highlighted in the first season with Mayor Teale of Margrave, whose partnership with the shrewd business magnate Kliner drained the suburb from within. In the second season, matching the higher stakes of the narrative, Reacher faces another hurdle in the form of Senator Malcolm Levoy. Initially an accessory in Reacher’s investigation, Levoy’s involvement with the central crisis of the Littlewing conspiracy runs deep and continues until the very end.

Warning: spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2's finale.
Swan was innocent and was actually trying to stop Langston by joining New Age as an informant. Swan was killed by Langston and his men for refusing to join forces with them. Reacher honors Swan's sacrifice by using the money he acquires from Am to help his fallen comrades' families and donate to an animal shelter, as Swan was an animal lover.
After dropping several red herrings throughout season 2, Amazon's Reacher finally reveals what happened to Swan. Swan was first introduced in Reacher season 2 as one of the former members of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. Flashbacks revealed that although Reacher had meticulously chosen his team members, Swan always had the tendency to tip off into the morally gray area. These flashbacks made him suspicious after Reacher and his team learned Swan was on New Age's payroll.

One of the defining features of Lee Child’s Reacher novel series is its seemingly disconnected and self-contained nature, as a significant number of the titular protagonist’s adventures take him through totally different situations and experiences without bothering readers about continuity. The makers of Amazon Prime’s TV series of the same name adhered to this principle, which is how, after adapting Child’s first entry of the series, Killing Floor, in the first season, they jumped directly to the eleventh book of the series, Bad Luck and Troubles, to build upon the second one. As an introductory chapter, the first season of Reacher revolved around the exploitation of small-town resources by a greedy conglomerate and was relatively low-key in stakes, with a personal angle introduced through the death of Jack’s brother, Joe Reacher. In comparison, the second season aimed bigger, and along with a national-scale terrorism threat...

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2, episode 6.
Alan Ritchson effectively brings the protagonist from Lee Child's books to life in Reacher season 2, making a spinoff series a great possibility. Neagley's emotional depth is showcased in her reaction to Russo's death, highlighting her potential for her own story as a private investigator. Neagley is the perfect candidate for a Reacher spinoff due to her established character and her capability as a private investigator.
Reacher season 2's biggest death further argues that the proposed Amazon spinoff could actually work great. Alan Ritchson brings to life the protagonist from Lee Child's famed books rather effectively. Aside from being more physically similar to the original iteration of the character as described in print, he has also nailed his mannerisms and overall vibe. Warning: Major spoilers below for Reacher season 2 episode "Burial" below!
Reacher season 2 avoided a problem with the Tom Cruise movie by revealing the events of "One Shot" happened offscreen. Episode 5 may have forgotten its "One Shot" easter egg, however, since it's not part of Reacher's record. The possibility of adapting "One Shot" in the future is still open, but the series has a wealth of other books to cover.
The latest episode of Reacher may have already contradicted its Tom Cruise movie explanation. Cruise may be one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but to fans of Jack Reacher, he was still nowhere near big enough to play the titular role in the 2012 movie. Warning: Major spoilers for Reacher season episode 4 below!
Reacher season 2 adapts Bad Luck and Trouble and introduces more technologically advanced villains. In episode 4, Reacher and the 110th use Google to solve a clue about a Jimi Hendrix track. Technology has changed the way most thrillers play out, making traditional detective work less cinematic.
The latest episode of Reacher reveals another way technology has taken some of the fun out of thrillers. Jack Reacher made his literary debut in 1998's Killing Floor, with the book's surprise success leading to a bestselling series. Reacher himself is defiantly old-school; he doesn't carry a phone, use the internet, or have anything resembling a presence online. His only real possession is his foldable toothbrush. Of course, the world has changed quite dramatically since the late '90s, so the books have had to reflect that too.

Warning: Major spoilers for Reacher season 2 episode "A Night at the Symphony" below!
Reacher season 2's villains are on a whole new level compared to season 1, with a terrorist arms dealer and the head of a defense contractor as the primary antagonists. The stakes in season 2 are much higher, as the villains are developing a software called "Little Wing" that can shoot down commercial flights. Despite the danger, Reacher seems to underestimate his enemies and is solely focused on revenge, which may put him and his team in grave danger.
Reacher season 2's villains have upped the stakes dramatically from the first series. Reacher season 1 adapted Killing Floor, where the titular character arrives in the small town of Margrave following his brother Joe's murder. After Reacher does some digging, he discovers a money counterfeiting operation is being carried out in Margrave, and in both the novel and Amazon's adaptation, he burns it to the ground.

Updated: Just days after testifying on his behalf in Johnny Depp’s acrimonious $50 million defamation suit against Amber Heard, Kate Moss joined her ex-boyfriend as he jammed with Jeff Beck for a third night in a row on the guitar legend’s European tour.

Six days before, she gave very brief testimony via video, refuting a rumored allegation that the actor pushed her down a flight of stairs when they dated in the 1990s.
