We thought it was alright after realising it's more of a Black Comedy than the standard British fair

Some others have said it's a bit slow, depressing and not that funny, and their opinion is valid for them.

We had to give the characters a bit of a chance to grow on us to appreciate this, what turns out to be more of black comedy.

It's not the standard style British humour we expected, and after watching I read that it's based on an Israeli comedy "Kacha Ze" loosely translated as 'it is what it is'.

So there's the reason for a difference in comedy style.

Although it started off a bit slow, we really got into the characters as the episodes played.

We watched the whole season of 6 episodes over 2 evenings, they were under half an hour each, and could really empathise with the characters and started to really enjoy the style of humour and then it finished way too quickly.

We would like to see a season 2 but don't know if there are any plans.

Cheers, Ted & Rosie 🌹

Not that good

I wanted to watch this after seeing the ads for it It looked like it will be funny and good.

But it turned out to be so bland , slow paced With a depressing script and no real emotion or character connection or chemistry .

I did try to watch as many episodes as I could But gave up after ep 3 I think .

I'm not interested in watching the rest because like I said it was boring. Slow and made me feel depressed . The story is based around two characters with their back sad stories It sees them meeting as one is trying to kill himself the other is having a heart attack. Fun not.

If you're feeling down then don't watch This as it will make you feel worse .

I really enjoyed it!

As someone with depression and is someone who jokes about depression myself to cope and I thought it was so funny. I love Anna she CAN be very relatable. Sam reminds me ALOT of Bojack Horseman but more tame. If you enjoy whatching Bojack horseman I think you might like this show because it's quite similar in that sense besides it not being a cartoon. And it being British! It's nice to find show that you can relate to that accurately portray mental illness in the right way with a sprinkle of comedy added into mix as well which makes it much better in my opinion and I like that it's the opposite of a love story. I haven't seen a TV show like this before.

My wife and I really liked it

Obviously written by people that understand real life, with lots of unexpected funny touches, I wish there were more episodes.

The mental health and loneliness realities are well presented.

It has a relaxing, engaging way about each episode.

I don't want to give anything away but I think all in all that the acting, production and thought that has gone into this makes it high quality and easy to try and compare it to normal programmes but it's much more subtle and sophisticated.

Maybe it's best appreciated by those 40-65 years who understand exactly what challenges the characters are having to overcome.

Sharp dark comedy

I got drawn into this dark comedy almost by accident. The first episode made me squirm and laugh in equal measure. I kept thing it would veer to far towards bad taste or slip into sit-com territory, but the two leads have a rapport that drew me in and the writing walks the tightrope between farce and pathos with great skill. We start off laughing at the outrageousness and absurdity of the characters and end up sharing the tenderness they feel for each other, and while the series was a bit light on in many ways and we leave these two just at the beginning of their relationship, I'm glad it left me wanting more.
