When Kamal Haasan’s Ex-Wife Vani Ganapathy Lashed Out At Him ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Kamal Haasan has made a glorious contribution to Indian cinema, but his personal life has, time and again, made headlines in the public glare. The superstar was first married to dancer Vani Ganapathy in 1978. However, the couple had a rather ugly separation in 1988 after Haasan started a relationship with actress Sarika. However, in 2015, in a throwback interview, the actor alleged that his divorce from Vani had left him bankrupt. This did not go well with the latter, and she lashed out at her ex-husband.
Vani Ganapathy Lashed Out At Former Husband Kamal Haasan
In a throwback interview with Deccan Chronicle, Vani Ganapathy took a dig at Kamal Haasan and said, “For 28 years, we have been divorced. I have always refrained from mudslinging because it’s a very private affair… but we have both moved on now.

Drunk Guitarist’s Comment Shaped Ar Rahman’s Musical Journey ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
Ar Rahman, the Oscar-winning music composer, shared an insightful moment from his early career during an interview with O2 India. Reflecting on a pivotal incident, he revealed how a guitarist’s alcohol-driven harsh comment profoundly influenced Rahman’s artistic path.
At 19, Rahman worked with film composers while simultaneously performing in a band. During a session in 1985-86, a guitarist who was a bit tipsy then directly commented about Rahman’s creativity, suggesting he was copying the styles of the composers he worked with. While the remark initially caught him off guard, Rahman eventually saw some truth in it, pushing him to rethink his approach to music.

While it may not be as glorious as Naruto, Boruto sure packs a punch. This ties in well with new generations and jutsu. Its blend of old and new is reminiscent of Kishimoto’s original series. The same goes for the transformations in the manga.
Of late, Naruto’s Baryon Mode is deemed one of the strongest power-ups. Through his amassing of Kyuubi’s chakra, Naruto defeated Isshiki Otsutsuki. Despite its formidability, it has its fair share of pitfalls. But there’s a solution to that as well.

An iconic yet powerful transformation from the original series deserves its much-needed comeback. Needless to say, the sequel highlights the comeback of several jutsu including Hiraishin.

French-American actor and director Julie Delpy has tackled culture clash in comedies before in ”Two Days in Paris” and “Two Days in New York,” but it’s never been as poignant as in “Meet the Barbarians,” where she explores the journey of a Syrian family who find refuge in a village in Northern France.
The movie, which marks Delpy’s feature comeback after helming the Netflix series “On the Verge,” is set in Paimpont, a small town in France’s Brittany region that is preparing to welcome Ukrainian refugees. But instead of Ukrainians, Syrian refugees settle in town, causing some tension among locals and testing their liberal beliefs.
Charades is at Venice selling the film, which will screen at the Toronto Film Festival, and also has “Vermiglio” and “Their Children After Them” on its sales slate.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) is out for more than just blood. When we first met the true crime enthusiast back in May of 2023, she was merely a failed match during Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) quest to get over Gabi (then Camila Banus).
We had no reason to fear her or think much of her at all. But that all changed when the July 5, 2024 episode revealed that Connie was Li’s killer.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Connie Viniski Is More Than Just A Jilted Lover
While “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” seemed a likely motive for the crime at first, that theory seems to be holding up less and less as of late.
Mimicking her first transgression, she followed it up with another back stabbing, the victim this time being Salem police commissioner Rafe (Galen Gering). She then changed...

Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” just may have broken the internet — and the brains of more than a few critics at Cannes.
Upon the film’s world premiere, fans and critics alike took to social media to capture the “insanity” of Coppola’s latest feature, which has been described by the auteur as a “Roman epic.” Count IndieWire’s David Ehrlich as a fan: In his review, he said that “Coppola’s wild and delirious fever dream inspires new hope for the future of movies.” The film debuted in competition at the Cannes Film Festival and is still looking for distribution, but will definitely get an IMAX release regardless.
Adam Driver leads the feature as a pseudo alter ego of writer/director Coppola, with the Oscar-nominated actor playing an architect who envisions saving his corrupt city and transforming the metropolis into a utopia. Netflix’s new show Fiasco by Igor Gotesman is an absolute riot! It’s all about this filmmaker, Raphael Valande, trying to make a movie called “Woman of Resistance,” which is inspired by his grandma, Huguette Valande. And, oh boy, does it have more twists and turns than you could ever imagine? Picture The Office or Parks and Recreation, but in the chaotic world of filmmaking. So, Raphael, bless his heart, has about as much authority as a fluffy bunny. He’s super passionate but totally clueless about how to take charge on set as a director. But then, in a desperate attempt to be the boss, he goes overboard, and everything starts to spiral out of control faster than you can say “cut!” And then, bam! Someone sneaks out a video of Raphael completely losing it on set. I’m talking about everything from making cringeworthy, sexist comments to...

Cannes — For years, reports of MipTV’s terminal decline were somewhat exaggerated. Now, however, they’re real. On March 26, Rx France, organizers of MipTV, announced the launch of Mip London, over Feb. 23-28, 2025. MipTV’s 2024 edition will be its last.
Attendance, once 10,000 in 2018, 9,500 in 2019, had plunged to 5,510 on-site delegates last year. That still made it the second biggest TV event in the world. Still dwindling participation this year, is down to around 3,000.
What a MipTV swan song, bulwarked by Canneseries, can deliver, is another question. 10 takes on this year’s edition:
MipTV Sticking to Its Guns
Traditionally, MipTV delivered a straight sales market where sales companies or divisions hold back-to-back meetings with distributors who get links to their shows.
History has hardly been on MipTV’s side. As simply raising the finance for a show in an environment of rising costs and declining commissions has become more and more of a challenge,...

Netflix has a lot of hot picks this month, with the biggest being the second part of Zack Snyder’s epic space opera Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. The rebel warriors of Veldt prepare to face off against the might of the Motherworld, willing to risk it all to defend their home. Sofia Boutella returns as the titular Scargiver, Kora, and she is once again joined by Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, and Djimon Hounsou.
For those who want a little spookiness this spring, Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho’s next project, Parasyte: The Grey hits Netflix this month, as does the next entry in the Sandman universe, Dead Boy Detectives. Parasyte: The Grey follows an outbreak of an unknown alien parasite that can pass as their human hosts and infiltrate society – think Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but with more gore.

For those of us who religiously watch “Sex and the City” on whatever platform it is currently streaming on (hi), April 1 is an exciting day. That’s the day the popular HBO series starring Sarah Jessica Parker is coming to Netflix — for the very first time. And TBS reruns this is not: This is the full, unedited, groundbreaking show, now just waiting for viewers new and old to do a Netflix binge. (Paging Gen Z!)
Of course, there are plenty of other exciting TV shows and movies hitting Netflix in April 2024. Movie thrills include Jessica Chastain-starring “Molly’s Game” making its way back to the streamer, as well as perennial rom-com fave “You’ve Got Mail.” On the TV side, there’s new series “Dead Boy Detectives,” from showrunner Steve Yockey, and from the same universe as “The Sandman,” based on the beloved comic series from Neil Gaiman.

X-Men ’97 will have surprise cameos just like its predecessor, X-Men: The Animated Series, as confirmed by the series’ executive producer. While the original show revolved around mutants, it also saw several Avengers paying them a visit.
X-Men: The Animated Series

French director Yann Gozlan is set to reunite with Pierre Niney, the French star of his two most successful movies “Un homme idéal” and “Black Box,” for his next film, “Gourou.”
“Gourou” is being co-produced by Wassim Beji at Wy Productions, the Paris-based company behind “Black Box and “Un Homme Ideal,” and Niney’s banner Ninety Films.
While the plot is currently under wraps, the project is being teased as a deep dive into the world of coaching and follows the rise of a personal development guru who turns out to be toxic. The script is by Jean-Baptiste Delafon, whose credits include “Of Money and Blood” which played at Venice, and Gozlan.
One of France’s most bankable and busiest French actors, Niney won a Cesar Award for his performance as French fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent in Jalil Lespert’s biopic in 2015, and went on to work with Anne Fontaine...

William Shakespeare’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre ends with a pair of near-resurrections, as the titular protagonist reunites with his daughter and wife, each long-thought dead. It’s only fitting, then, that Fiasco Theater’s production of Pericles, running at the Classic Stage Company until March 24, is an electrifying act of double-resurrection itself.
Pericles is one of Shakespeare’s late romances, blurring lines between genres and toying with fantastical scenes of rebirth, and it’s right in Fiasco’s wheelhouse: the troupe burst on to the scene with a six-actor production of another work in the genre, Cymbeline, in 2011. Gorgeously giddy New York productions of Measure for Measure and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, so-called comedies with disquieting dark turns, followed, in 2014 and 2015, respectively. But some of Fiasco’s more recent early modern undertakings, like a weirdly froth-less Twelfth Night at Classic Stage in 2017 and an overly chaotic reinvention of...

Bassem Youssef is setting the record straight on the Superman Legacy controversy after he suggested he was dropped from the DC film following his public support for Palestine.
In a video Youssef posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, he said he wanted “to address the Superman fiasco once and for all because the internet twists facts, words, and basically everything else.”
“First of all, I’m a huge fan of James Gunn, nothing but love and respect for this guy,” Youssef started off his video praising the DC Studios co-head who is also the writer and director of Superman Legacy.
Youssef recalled that in June 2023, one day before the actors strike, he got an audition for the new Superman film. The actor said that less than an hour after submitting his audition, he received a call from his agent about setting up a Zoom call with Gunn.

Expectations for ‘The Marvels’ weren’t high in terms of box office numbers like they are for some other MCU projects. However, no one probably thought things would be this bad.
First, the opening weekend was somewhat weak. Then, the first week was even weaker. And now, as ‘The Marvels’ ends its box office run, it officially became MCU’s lowest-grossing movie of all time.
The movie ran in theaters for a full month and tallied $80 million in domestic box office returns and just under $197 million worldwide. It is not even enough to cover the approximate $220 million net budget, which is not something the MCU is accustomed to.

I have to admit that when I see the name Opie, I immediately think of Mayberry, Andy Griffith and Ron Howard before he shaved. Now I understand that shock jock Anthony Cumia was fired last week by Sirius Xm for being, I think the technical term is, a tweeting moron. His on-air partner Greg Hughes — known to all by the same moniker as Sheriff Taylor’s kid — is said to be “devastated.”
Take heart, Opie — I promise, your Anthony will be back. Just remember what happened to Andy Rooney.
In the late winter of 1990 David Burke, the newly appointed president of CBS News, suspended Rooney, who was 71 at the time and the most popular cast-member of Sunday Night Live — I mean 60 Minutes — for three months. The trouble had begun a few weeks earlier, during a year-end special, when the curmudgeonly commentator expressed his opinion that “too much alcohol, too much food,...
