Did Sanjay Leela Bhansali compliment Shah Rukh Khan?(Photo Credit –Facebook/Prime Video)
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker shared his experience on working with superstars like Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, and a few more. Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, Slb shared, “What Shah Rukh Khan did in Devdas is very special. Those close-ups, those moments, the fragility of a man who is always in control, were an audience; his arms were up.”
“But, in the film, he just became fragile; he said, ‘kaun kambakht bardaasht karne ko peeta hai’ and looked at those eyes.’ So, they were all talented,” he added.
King Khan was a big star back in the 2000’s after delivering several successful movies like Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Devdas.

Ali Cherri’s The Watchman is now showing exclusively on Mubi. The Watchman. In the turbulent history of Cyprus, the village of Louroujina stands as a poignant testament to the island's division. Nestled in the northern part, it now resides under the self-declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Before the 1974 division, Louroujina was a harmonious mix of Greek and Turkish Cypriots. However, the conflict resulted in the displacement of the Greek Cypriot population, leaving the village predominantly Turkish Cypriot.Louroujina has transformed into an isolated enclave within Greek Cypriot–controlled territory, accessible only through a narrow corridor to Northern Cyprus. The main road to Lympia, blocked since 1974, lies only 300 meters from the roadblock in Louroujina, but the current journey stretches over 77 kilometers, symbolizing the physical and emotional distances imposed by the geopolitical rift. The Watchman unfolds against this backdrop. We follow a Turkish Cypriot young soldier stationed on the division line for his military service.

Alan Moore has a reputation—not entirely earned, we'd argue—as a crank, or maybe just a fire and brimstone preacher, raining down damnation on superhero culture en masse. Certainly, the Watchman author can be scathing on the topic of comics companies, pointing a withering pen at an industry that...

Titus Welliver was elated to play Rorschach in Watchmen Chapter 1. The veteran actor has portrayed some iconic characters over his career, including DC Comics supervillain Lex Luthor and Harry Bosch in the critically acclaimed Prime Video crime drama Bosch. But getting to take on one of the most distinct comic book characters was a thrill on a whole other level.
In an interview with Cbr, Welliver shared how he found out that he'd landed the part of Rorschach. He also explained the way he created the character's voice -- and the toll that it took on him during the recording process. Plus, learn how he compares his work to the performance that Jackie Earle Haley gave as Rorschach in Zack Snyder's 2009 movie.
Cbr: You've already portrayed some major names in the DC universe -- you were Lex Luthor in Titans and then voiced Carmine Falcone in Batman: The Long Halloween.

At its first upfront presentation this week, Amazon announced a green light for Noir, based on the Marvel comic, with Nicolas Cage set to star. Noir was to be the second in a suite of live-action Spider-Man Universe series for MGM+ and Prime Video. However, there was no mention at the upfront of the first, Silk: Spider Society.
That is because that series, which had been in the works for about five years and greenlighted for two, is not moving forward. I heard the final decision was made a few days ago.
The project’s showrunner, well regarded Walking Dead alum Angela Kang, remains under an overall deal at Amazon MGM Studios where she will work on other projects. Amazon’s commitment to the suite of live-action series based on the Sony Pictures Universe of 900 Spider-Man & Co. Marvel characters also remains in place. Rights to the Silk character, created by Dan Slott and Humberto,...

Warning: this post will contain spoilers for Zack Snyder's "Watchmen."
Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' 1986 comic book classic "Watchmen" takes place in the then-present but also in a parallel universe wherein Richard Nixon is still president in the '80s. "Watchmen" took its cues from the superhero comics of the late 1930s while extrapolating history forward, asking what the world would look like if such fantastical beings actually came to be at that time. Naturally, conflicts like the Vietnam War would have ended differently, technology would have advanced by leaps and bounds ... and corruption would've still run rampant. Nixon, thanks to the positive outcome of the Vietnam War, was able to stay in office by repealing term limits. By 1977, however, public opinion had turned against super-vigilantes, and their existence was banned.
Moore and Gibbons were clearly making a comment on the rampant Reagan/Thatcher conservatism that was rolling high in the U.

Alan Moore says he’s pivoted his approach to sharing royalties, now opting to have DC Comics send them to Black Lives Matter.
In a new interview with The Telegraph published Wednesday, the comics legend behind Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Batman: The Killing Joke, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and more spoke about his journey into literary publishing following the release of his short story collection, Illuminations.
During the lengthy chat, Moore opened up about how his perspective on the state of comics has changed how he shares his royalties, in addition to talking about his thoughts on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight and why he’s increasingly opted out of public appearances.
While speaking to his own works like Watchman and V for Vendetta, both of which have been adapted for the screen, the artist — who has long refused to have his name attached to screen adaptations of...

Grief is a complicated emotion. People say that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, but what if you can go back and change the past? In today’s Aporia trailer, Judy Greer plays a mother devastated by loss who alters time and space to change the course of history. However, manipulating the laws of time is dangerous, and the results could be worse than the event you hoped to change.
In the Aporia trailer, Greer’s Sophie learns about a secret time machine built by her husband’s best friend, played by Payman Maadi. Sophie thinks she can bring her husband back after he dies in a tragic drunk-driving accident, but the consequences of her actions could lead to losing her teenage daughter or worse.
Jared Moshe directs from his own script, with Greer, Edi Gathegi, Payman Maadi, and Faithe Herman starring as the main cast.
