a mediocre attempt for a Kdrama movie

I watched it on its first day in theaters and I held off my write-up for a couple of weeks to see how the GP responds to it without reading this review. I get the attempt of making it a Korean style love story movie but it just fell short. It was very predictable. Slow paced. A lot of loose ends. (I liked movies with open ended endings or missed details - it just doesn't make sense when important details turn into plot holes - no spoilers so I am keeping my mouth shut). I want to commend the lead actress (Bela) for doing a great job with her acting and that's basically what I liked most about this movie. There was very little to no chemistry between the lead actress and lead actor. Their acting were basically on different wavelengths and it just did not work for me. There are plot details that could have been explained more. There are parts of the movie that I enjoy (don't get me wrong) that's why I still rated it as a five- but for a love story - it's not something that will tug on your heartstrings, and not something you will remember for good reasons.

Its Good enough for me

Just browsing and looking for something to watch and stumbled on this.

At first the story is kinda slow paced but i get what the writer wants to say . Yes there are some missing details but its not that important as you will get it as the story goes.

It's entertaining and incorporated both Filipino and Korean culture like the family gathering, the worried about mom getting angry when u do something bad, filipino and korean dating style, The korean culture of eating street foods, downing soju/ drinking and korean moms pushing their adult son/ daughter to get married etc.

Over all i enjoyed watching it.
