Writer Ian Shorr has signed with WME for representation in all areas.
Shorr is currently adapting the Korean film Time to Hunt for Netflix, with 42 producing. The original Korean language movie has three outlaws plotting a money heist to leave their dystopian world behind for a faraway paradise, only to draw the attention of a vicious killer.
Shorr penned the 2021 film Infinite, a sci-fi thriller that was directed by Antoine Fuqua, with Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor starring in the drama about a confused man discovering his schizophrenic visions are actually memories from past lives just in time to save humanity.
He also sold his sci-fi thriller spec script for Capsule to 20th Century Fox, with Hutch Parker (The Wolverine) producing. Capsule followed a young man whose life is upturned when he begins to receive metallic capsules containing messages from his future self.

This review for “We’re All Going to the World’s Fair” was originally published April 15, 2022.
I was an early child of the internet, but my online life was tame. As a kid, I stuck to the wholesome worlds of Neopets and Club Penguin. Even when I signed up for Tumblr as a teenager (pre-porn ban), I mostly used the site to connect with other Broadway nerds. Watching the Slender Man web series “Marble Hornets” alone in my bedroom was about as dark as I went.
So “We’re All Going to the World’s Fair,” Jane Schoenbrun’s debut feature about creepypasta culture and teenage loneliness, feels a bit like looking at an alternate version of myself. What internet rabbit holes might I have fallen down if I’d had meaner parents or worse social skills?
The film makes for a fascinating study of online indoctrination, as its protagonist blurs the line between...

Sneak Peek "Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story", the 2015 horror feature from director James Moran, now available on DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment:
"...on the hunt for an intriguing story, a small-town news team follows a crew inspecting repossessed houses. Inside a particularly strange house, the news team discovers a box of video tapes inside a locked closet.
"Sensing a story, they decide to take them back to their studio. From the tapes, they learn that the family who had lived in the house was not pushed out by the banks, but fled the house in fear for their lives.
"Trying to decode the story, the crew keeps seeing a faceless figure dressed in a dark suit appear in the footage that causes the videotape to scramble. Their fear mounts when this figure, 'The Operator' as he is deemed, starts to appear in their real lives, standing quietly and always watching them.

Marble Hornets is a web series created by Joseph DeLage and Troy Magner that debuted in 2009 and quickly created a solid fan base through 87 episodes. It revolves around a young man Tim who discovers the tapes his friend Alex gave to him shortly before disappearing. Alex was in the woods filming a movie called Marble Hornets, which in the process changed his personality, made him paranoid, despondent, and eventually crazy. As Tim delves into the recordings and begins to notice distortion or absence of sound and video, it becomes increasingly more apparent that a supernatural power known as The Operator (aka Slender Man) is behind it. The series is a slow burn for sure, but that makes the scares all the more impacting. Marble Hornets is everything “found footage” should be — slow paced, immersive, engrossing, and terrifying. This is why the film “adaptation” is so very disappointing.
