Bokura no shokutaku

The way this young man took care of his much younger brother touched a cord with me as he reminded me so much of why I worshiped my own older brother. The story is heartwarming, heartbreaking and deals honestly with the difficulties in overcoming life's obstacles to find love. Wonderful. I bing watched it.

One of the things I liked about this series was the lack of toxic characters. Real life is challenging enough and the storyline is accurate and honest as so few dramas are. The complicated relationship between Yutaka and his family adds mystery and a touch of anxiety that is well resolved in the end adding just enough tension to season the storyline to perfection.

Adopted from a manga, this series is a short and sweet story of two males gradually acclimatizing to each other. Generally Japanese adaptations are infamous for being facsimile to the source. I wouldn't count it under best dramas in the Bl world yet was pleasant to watch. Actors justified their roles nevertheless failed to leave an impact on me. In simple words it was just passing cloud.

If you are an adolescent who has just begun their Bl journey, this one's good for a starter. The lead roles maintain social distancing through out the plot being overly cautious of each other's feelings. May be these days teens are into platonic love. I do not relate. At least the actors are not emitting emotional requisite of a 'love through the eyes only' storyline. Two things that i admire in the character of 'Yukata', cooking and kids. These two, as per me, are more complicated than rocket science.
