But it was the slasher boom of the 80s that it blossomed with films like Sorority House Massacre, The House on Sorority Row and The Initiation. Since then we’ve had multiple remakes of Black Christmas and House on Sorority Row as well as new films such as Die Die Delta Pi, Slotherhouse and now Night of the Dead Sorority Babes.

Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley unveiled the first trailer for her debut horror film, Devon, a frightening found-footage story.
It features a group of friends trying to unravel the truth behind the unsolved disappearance of a couple’s daughter, Devon, leading them to a terrifying mystery.
The disappearance involves a condemned asylum, and the group searches the terrifying location, which the synopsis describes as “a perilous, one-way journey.”
The trailer, released on Friday, includes a reporter delivering news on a missing persons case.
In addition, dark and creepy camera footage is shown from inside the asylum, leaving it unknown who or what is lurking there with the group searching the location.
JWoww shared an Instagram video post with the hashtag “#devonismissing” and a November 12 release date. In addition, the MTV star tagged an official Instagram page called Devon Is Missing.

The list of animals on a drug-fuelled killing spree gets a new addition as Cocaine Bear, Cocaine Werewolf, Attack of the Meth Gator, and all the others get joined by Crackcoon. Not to be confused with Krackoon and its sequel, which pitted a murderous trash running loose in The Bronx, this film takes place in a rural community with a drug problem that’s about to turn into something much more dangerous.
When a couple of crack addicts buy a new designer drug, Acid Mind Drainage, from Denny it’s the start of a bloody killing spree as it turns anyone who uses it into a homicidal maniac. Things, however, are about to get a lot worse.

The cinematic success of the horror-comedy Cocaine Bear became responsible for many copy-cat movies featuring beasts of the animal kingdom getting high and going on various rampages across cities, swamps and even out in the ocean. However, one of those movies, Cocaine Shark, has made a surprising leap from the screen to real-world newsreels, as it seems sharks off the coast of Brazil are testing positive for the Class-a drug.
Cocaine Shark is an extremely silly and exaggerated story of fish becoming vicious killing machines after an explosion at a lab. The resulting movie is filled with the kind of CGI that can be generated for free online these days, and is purely for fans of bad movies. However, the news that all 13 sharpnose sharks used in a study by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Brazil have been found to contain up to 100 times the concentration of cocaine of animals in other studies,...

Like Jaws before it, the release of Cocaine Bear earlier this year has resulted in a slew of natural horror films, many of which are using the same conceit of an animal driven to extreme behavior by the consumption of narcotics. Projects already in production include Crackcoon and the delayed Methgator, created by The Asylum. You can probably guess their plots.
One animal-on-drugs movie that has already seen release is Cocaine Shark. Whereas that film treated its subject matter with an unabashedly schlocky approach, though, the more recent Deep Fear takes a similar gimmick and plays it with a straighter face. It could be the perfect post-summer movie for anyone who wants a fun cinematic trend taken a little more seriously.
Set on a yacht sailing around Grenada, Deep Fear centers on a woman named Naomi (Mãdãlina Ghenea) who, during a sailing trip to see her boyfriend (Ed Westwick), gets...

I’m beginning to think that, cinematically at least, the Wendigo hit its peak back in 1995 with Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo, an absolutely batshit mix of folklore, Evil Dead-style mayhem, and stop-motion monsters. Despite some decent films on the subject like The Retreat there’s yet to be a definitive screen version of this creature from Native American folklore.
The latest take on the myth is titled, aptly enough, The Wendigo and it begins somewhere in the woods of North Carolina as YouTuber Logan calls out the creature’s name hoping to catch it on camera for his livestream. He gets more than he bargained for and gets dragged off while, in true found-footage fashion, his camera glitches.
