The concept of this show was first formed when Jake Johnson explained the death of Otis Redding to his friend (the show's Creator, Derek Waters) while intoxicated.
Several episodes include additional vignettes where Creator Derek Waters will, in a state of intoxication, explore a profession or point of interest relevant to the stories being told. Among the skills he explores are oyster shucking, gun twirling, LARPing, and creating sound effects on a Foley stage.
