Friends & Family to the rescue

Once again, whenever there's an indie film that flies under the radar, friends and family of the cast and crew come to the rescue. They rave about the film and give it 10 stars. Hence the high score on places like IMDb. I get it. You're looking out for your pals. Well, that doesn't make the movie any better.

In this case, I thought the movie was a little cliched. It seemed a bit on the predictable side. I have to admit, I only watched a little of the film before I bailed. So I think I'll give it another shot when I get some free time.

From what I saw, I thought the acting was on the wooden side. Some better actors would have made this a more engaging movie. That said, I thought the production was pretty good. It certainly didn't have that budget feel so many indie films have.

So like I said earlier, I'll have to watch this one again when I get a chance.

Lifetime movie

I'm giving this five stars because it held my attention. It definitely feels like I'm watching a lifetime movie and the lead actress, Nicky Whalen has been in a few lifetime movies so I already knew what I was in for.

The acting is OK not great and very predictable but, there's nothing else for me to watch and I'm grasping at straws here. Lol.

You probably will not like this movie unless you have nothing else to watch, so give it a try.

OK my review is too short and I don't know what else to say Actually, even some lifetime movies are better than this one My husband lasted five minutes and left the room lol.

No sanity clause?

Fanciful story about a celebrity psychiatrist who's understandably wary of being stalked by her patients, but who's so clueless that she can't recognize that her own friends, relatives and in laws are just as nuts if not even crazier.

The problem is that the film - which was plainly not intended to be either satirical or comical - betrays not a hint of awareness of the irony. The viewer is just supposed to take it on faith that such an abysmal judge of character is professionally qualified to provide therapy and prescribe medication to vulnerable individuals.

But perhaps the protagonist - a best selling author with a nice house - will be absolved of such responsibilities by the intended movie audience.

But seriously, why did the filmmakers overlook such an obvious concept flaw?

Anyway, the acting is acceptable if forgettable, and, again, the decor is pleasant. The protagonist could probably have done with a thinner coat of makeup.

SUSPENSEFUL and THRILLING

I thought this was a great storyline with lots of juicy characters and suspense, great production quality, fine acting performances, cinematography, and directing. It takes place in a beautiful location and setting on Rhode Island's coastline. Nicky Whelan is brilliant in her role. Amy Wade gives a raw and believable performance as a bipolar patient. Dominique Swain, Eric Lutes, Michael Zuccola Hope Blackstock, and Fred Sullivan are all great in their roles. The plot takes many twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat. If you like mystery and intrigue, this is a great film to watch!
