- Settling Scores is a dark-comedy thriller set in the world of drug gangs. From a tense, eerie and suspenseful mood, it introduces Miguel Pascal, a drug trafficker who is pursued by the famous hitwoman Lizzy Coltrane. As this short film is also mysterious and even creepy at the beginning, it is aimed at those who like to watch dark thrillers with conflictive and imperfect characters. However, the appearance of the pedestrian Lucas will add a touch of comedy to the film, so that it could also be seen by those who enjoy dark-comedies. Inspired by the proverb "the person who laughs last laughs best" and keeping the mood of the story, Settling Scores sarcastically reflects on two themes: the importance of not feeling victorious ahead of time, and of having a team (in this case, Anthony Hanks, Miguel's accomplice). In sum, the audience will watch a dark-comedy thriller that concludes on the importance of these issues with a story set in the world of drug trafficking and score-settling, and flawed characters.—Rafael Demichelli
