Natalie Portman, John Krasinski, Benjamin Chivers, Domhnall Gleeson, and Eiza González in Fountain of Youth (2025)

Review by rsridhar2005

Fountain of Youth

7/10

Guy Ritchie tries to be a Spielberg - but disappoints

Movie is just ok. John Krasinski as the lead impresses. So is Eiza González as Esme. Natalie Portman is really irritating in her nagging character as Charlotte.

The storyline is somewhat similar to Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In this movie, the Indiana duo (Harrison Ford & Sean Connery) go in search of the magical Holy Grail with the WWII i the background.

Here, John Krasinski. Goes in search of the Fountain of Youth as his boss, Owen Carver (Domhnall Gleeson) wants it desperately.

The pace is lacking even though some of the actors do justice to their roles. The usual charm / humor in Guy Ritchie's movie is lacking.

The movie is just a time pass, if you can bear with the bickering of Natalie Portman.
